  3. You won't be disappointed! All of my replicas are done by Shawn & James at Advanced, they're the best as far as I'm concerned! Here is the last one that I had done!

  4. Well it has been a while since I posted a fishing report. The summer has seen short day trips to Lake Ontario as I try to figure out the salmon/trout thing. Although that has been a blast, my "first love" is still musky fishing. When our planned trip to Myrtle Beach got cancelled, the suggestion was made by family to head to Pigeon Lake. I was not going to argue with that decision! Winds were big and the floating weeds were plenty. Thank goodness for rod holders that can get those tips down in the water. Since it was a family vacation, fishing was not the primary activity. However, the muskies were on and we were able to catch a bunch over the course of the week. Each time I went, I took a few passengers along. Since they were all newbies, trolling was the way to go. Managed to get a few people onto their first (and second, third and fourth fish). One of the nicest fish came as I was out with my 2 oldest boys...a special moment!

  5. Another skin mount still in great shape that I had mounted way back in '74 Fish was 45" and it cost me $125.25 to have it done. I hate the fact that I intentionally killed that musky but it was the 1st one I ever caught and sadly killing them back then was just the norm and I never killed another one. This mount now hangs at a buds fishing lodge up on Nippissing.

  11. Irish with some genuine Helin flatfishes. There was a long period of time in my youth where all I needed was a frog pattern flatfish to catch all the bass, walleye and pike on Nipissing.

  13. Put sonar to advance mode, turn off fish ID. Look for hooks and bait. Turn off fish alarms. Properly set up you should be able to see your cannonballs down 100.

  15. Actually it was caught in August 1974 and that picture was a snowmobile I used to own, a 1984 SkiDoo ss25 but neither has anything to do with the other and I just needed a place to stick the SkiDoo picture LOL

  16. Ipilot... put main in gear bungee steering wheel straight and the bow mount will keep me in a straight line even in 2 fters . So much nicer than sawing the the steering wheel all day. Turn fish id off. Yo want to see your balls in relation to the hooks and adjust accordingly

  18. I was asked to step out of my comfort zone on a project unlike anything I have ever attempted, but with the help of a skilled artisan/carver/painting friend I'm well on my way to getting this custom fly in Brook Trout rod assembled.

  20. Curious as to why you don't believe that your unit is as detailed with your Navionics card? The screen is smaller than an 9", 10" or 12" but your detail should be the same, you just have to zoom in. I'm wondering if you don't have the Fish'N Chip option selected on your unit which gives you SonarCharts with 1 foot contours!

  24. Yep Brain was $22.50/inch when I had him do the Daughter's 44.5" pike that died on us on a back lake. God knows I tried for almost 2 hours to revive that fish, but it is what it is, a $1000 Christmas present.. lol Glad to see they're back up and running after the place burning down a few years back.
