  3. Yabbadabbadooooooooooo Woke up at 4:30 this morning and was not sitting around . I grabbed that new stick my son gave me for Christmas, back pack, some loose roe I had and was off. What a beauty of a morning to be walking the trib. Still though, the fiddle heads and mushrooms are way behind. Found lots of stumps, but the heads were not showing yet. I just tied bags by hand at the river as I was not expecting to head out this morning . I kind of liked this today, as I was able to tie to water conditions and it is not that much of a bother. Missed 2 hits and caught this guy. Float laid flat and I just lifted as if it was bottom. Nope, fish. It was deep hooked,so home it came for dinner. New stick is so sweet. I missed that 13 ft advantage of being able to mend and keep the line off the fast current. I did get a bit of roe goo on it . Tried not too, but I forgot my towel. The SST 3 is a great compliment to the rod. Maybe another report Saturday. Calling for rain Friday . That is ok though, as I finally got my clouser minnow material .

  7. We have a very irregular lot and I have no idea if that matters to the robot. Without knowing the price of one of these robots I would have to pay someone to do it big bucks before a robot started to give me a good return on investment.

  9. If a company has to drive to your house to do the work then it will be at least $50.00. Remember it is a business which has overhead, insurance, equipment, employees and trucks to keep running. They have to account for the travel time to your house so if it is one house only then it will be a higher rate than if it is someone who has other jobs in the area. You also want to be able to do it on your schedule meaning you are not a steady customer. A professional will always be more expensive than a local kid so decide if you want the professionalism of a company which cost more or a local kid who could be more of a headache than you want. I would expect a bill of $75.00 a cut to be more than reasonable from a lawn company. Art

  10. Don't make out with your buddy in the boat and wash your hands, you'll all survive.

  11. Really eh that's interesting I never knew that. 🤯. I've been in a lot of boats in my life but I've never been in one that has 6' of separation between the drivers seat and passenger seat.

  13. How do you and your buddy plan drive your boat? Even in my buddies 20' Ranger I can still reach out with my arm and touch him while we are traveling from spot to spot. You must have a very wide boat. Play it safe and fish alone.

  15. In '68 dad bought a cottage on Loon/Dudmon Lake in Haliburton for $8800, sold it in the late '80s for ten times that. It has been extensively renovated but I ran across it up for rent a few years ago , would have cost the same $8800 to rent for 4 weeks 🤯

  16. Because we are smart enough to know that a boat ramp is less important than the lives of our fellow Canadians and the safety of our healthcare workers. it sucks but we are putting faith in those that make the decisions are doing so in our best interest. boat ramps will re-open...when it is safe to do so which sounds like it will be soon.
