Four inches of good ice is LOTS to walk on! Ask the lunatics around Owen Sound who go out on an inch and a half...........or used to when I lived down that way..... Every year when you post your first ice post, I envy you! No doubt we will soon be seeing some shots of walleye and crappies coming up through the ice... Doug 2

AKRISONER Posted Wednesday at 02:53 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:53 PM (edited) honestly limey im surprised its taken you this long lol Saw a photo yesterday, the by's while staying close to shore, are out on the scugog Bog! I think a few of the small ponds around here are accessible, but you want to be limber enough to certainly haul your wet butt back out when you go in. Its been a christmas tradition for me the past few years, falling into the lake 😆 Edited Wednesday at 02:54 PM by AKRISONER 1

Its been a christmas tradition for me the past few years, falling into the lake 😆 Yeah, I’m surprised too…I’m seeing lots of first ice fish being caught on my Facebook feed( stinking algorithms) from waaaay south of me. We froze up nearly two weeks ago only for a complete thaw to take place two days after, had to wait another week for it to lock up again. Back in the day I would have found somewhere to fish… but there is a direct correlation to my age and gung ho attitude..the latter has decreased considerably.
