lickmyarmpit Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 Since I made the best decision of my life. Packed up and moved north. Been a fairly steep learning curve on when and where to fish but we're starting to figure things out. Still got a good month of ice fishing left beginning of the season was tough with multiple skunks but starting to put some decent patterns together. Here's some pics from the last year.
crappieperchhunter Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 That's what it's all about right there....enjoying the great outdoors...in your backyard so to speak. Looks like you definitely made the right decision and thx for sharing.
misfish Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 Looks like you made a great decision. Nothing like leaving the front door on a sled to go fishing. Thanks for sharing.
captpierre Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 Looks great! So how do you make a living up there?
lickmyarmpit Posted March 25, 2017 Author Report Posted March 25, 2017 I'm a truck driver. There is a ton of work up here mostly in mining and forestry but everyone is always hiring.
captpierre Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 I'm a weenie about heavy duty bugs. How are the blackflies and mosquitoes June-July?
Pigeontroller Posted March 26, 2017 Report Posted March 26, 2017 Where did you move to? It says London for your location...
Rod Caster Posted March 26, 2017 Report Posted March 26, 2017 congrats! Timmins is a great area if you like the outdoors. I'll bite my tongue on the other living conditions and social issues there. 6th picture down, that looks like a char, is it just a huge-greenish speckled trout??
lickmyarmpit Posted March 26, 2017 Author Report Posted March 26, 2017 A summer splake the shot of the finder was taken that day trolled dipseys as if on Lake Ontario in 35 to 45 feet of water. Really filled the boat that day 3 of us brought home our limit of 5 and let a bunch go as well
Joeytier Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Good for you. That your Edge 800? You'll have to invest in a long track for the backwoods lakes. We weren't able to put the boat in the water until May last two yrs, looks like we'll be a week or two ahead of that this yr (fingers crossed at least)
Sinker Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 I've been checking out opportunities up there as well. Looks like a great place to be!! S.
