kickingfrog Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 The other thing you have to watch for is cutting the grass.... and finding a car.
Nanook Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Cute little pets y'all have down there! would that be a Scorpion in the last pick? Dont have to water our tree's up here, Nature is doing a wonderful job, all by herself.

Bly Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Ewwww! Hate the nasty things! Had the unfortunate experience of being bitten some years ago by a Hobo spider, very unpleasant I tell ya. I am extremely grateful that I haven't ever had to see a black widow up close and hope I never do!
4thgen Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Alot of people don't realize that black widows are found at least as far north as the Kawarthas in Ontario. I found a big female at the Warsaw caves a few years ago and had it in a tank for the summer (until it laid an eggsac that proceeded to hatch thousands of young that apparently could fit through the mesh of the lid...).
FishHeadRic Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 GCD, try WD40 next time. I know it'll instantly kill bees and wasps. It might just take the rust off of that there spider too! FHR
ccmtcanada Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Wow....those are ugly spiders!!! Keep em down your way ok?
aplumma Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 i can just picture you running around the yard squeeking like Nancy Caragan...... Not a nice bug to find though. Art
snag Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Should've just disrobed. It's killin' us! Cool shots!

I saw one in an out-house up on the bruce peninsula a few years ago. Decided to use the bushes.
