when the coyotes eat all they can in an area they start feeding on livestock. its simply to costly for many farmers to coyote proof (they will dig under fences) their properties so the coyotes would just have a hay day on live stock. its also been documented that small game populations will sometimes increase after coyotes move in the area. they pretty much just make up for the loss to coyotes. makes sense i guess. and no this is not a huge waste of fur. the hides have likely been stretched and dried out already and put in storage for the winter and this was a pic they staged before taking the fur to auction. that is a LOT of money sitting right there and he put in a lot of time to get those animals so i doubt he'd waste em. last i checked the average coyote hide was going for $25-$30 at the toronto fur auction. anyone wanna take a count to see how many he has up there?

excalibur is the way to go. i have an exomax which shoots 346-348fps with my chrony. shooting a faster arrow allows for a tad bit more forgiveness in range estimation because of the faster arrow shooting flatter. whether there is any real difference between the 2 models and 25fps i couldnt tell you. no the fastest bow isnt necessary, but i like to stack the odds in my favor any way possible -
if they were a good team they'd be winning. its funny when you hear people saying "did you see how good they played" or "they managed to tie it up" or even "the leafs played a great game last night". what these fans fail to realize is that a good game for toronto still isnt good enough to beat other teams. unfortunately for the current worst team in the league, close only counts in horse shoes the leafs sure are lucky they have such loyal fans who stick behind a team that will never make it to the finals and likely has the highest ticket price in the league....
-
if the above were true....shouldnt they be winning? the leafs suck plain and simple.

thats right people keep on voting in the LIEberals...they are taking us in the right direction its not hard to see why so many people like to go on EI, welfare, etc and work for cash...

lol...some of the comments from the ignorant are quite amusing yet sad at the same time... "testosterone deficiency" "disgusting" "who has that much free time" "how can that be real" "holy crap..they have a forum for everything" some places have far too many coyotes and with practically no natural predators we need hunters and trappers to keep the populations in check. if it werent for these men and women killing thousands of coyotes every year there would be much less wildlife in the bush and a lot more livestock being lost. it is nearly impossible to get rid of all coyotes in an area which is why there are no seasons or bag limits in most areas.

i made up 2 ABS pipe runners for my clam 2000. they are starting to wear from dragging it on roads and gravel but the floor of the hut still looks like new

ding! ding! ding! we have a winner... doing the test at home was fun. have the test open in window A and have the answer sheet open in window B. the test is a joke, money grab, waste of time and thats how it should be treated.

hmmmm....id pick anywhere BUT in the GTA

its quite sad, but $$$ comes before nature and the concerns of local residents. the developer likely planned to take everything down to the property lines to make it easier to build on these buffer zones in the future. when they go to get permits to build where these buffer zones were the city will likely approve as there is nothing there now anyways. they will likely make more money by trashing these buffer zones now even with stiff fines. say goodbye to your peaceful lake.. :(

what to do when there is hunters on the pond????/skunked fishing
ch312 replied to skinny's topic in General Discussion
quite simple really....first come first serve. neither gets priority over the other. unfortunately there are many idiots (both fishermen and hunters) who seem to lack common sense... if i were to come up to a pond/small lake with people fishing nearby id ask if they were getting anything, checkout the area for birds, and be on my merry way. -
not a bad start to the season

ch312 replied to skinny's topic in General Discussion
if people were hunting on a pond and you put your boat in disrupting their hunt you could be fined. many people dont understand that its against the law to disrupt any hunting activities and scaring birds away would fall under that category. hunters need to stick to wilderness areas? many people hunt on big lakes as well as small back lakes and ponds where people also fish. hunters shouldnt hunt there because someone may want to wet a line there too?> -
great gun but a pain to find a rifled barrel for shooting sabots...

man...you guys sound like a bunch of whiny women in every salmon related thread. heres an idea... instead of filling the board with useless posts crying about how bob or chuck catch salmon why not use that energy for something useful. write letters, make phone calls, educate, and make people aware of the problem. crying on an internet forum and flaming other members will help solve nothing

mine expires on oct 1st of this year ...i didnt send in my renewal until last week because i had forgot. says they need at least 3 weeks to process it so i have my fingers crossed. the reminder letter they sent me stated that if i do not have my new license by my birthday that i will be in illegal possession of firearms and they may be confiscated.

theres a spot not far from the cockshutt bridge that goes from 2.5-10ft almost instantly on the fish finder. find that spot and you'll be into bass and walleye. now, would that be up or down river? what do i consider not far? the river is loaded with bass and has quite a few walleye. white jigs and chartreuse/silver cranks are my best producers. topwater is awesome for the bass as well.

the conservatives dont want to steal firearms from law abiding firearms owners....thats a good enough reason for me as to the wst needing to get over the paranoia of toronto... i live 1 hour west of toronto and even i dont like that stink hole along with most of the people living there. the thing is, EVERYONE outside of toronto wants to see that city sink

man, i could fill this in with so many fun things. now if we could block people from the GTA from voting, canada might finally get rid of the liberals

at least 5 years ago i found a dead salmon on shore in brantford. i grew up 2 blocks from the grand river and that is the only sign ive seen of salmon that far up river.

rebar is just plain old steel and can be cut with a hacksaw in a couple minutes while still remaining quiet. for this idea to work you'd need some hardened steel to run your chain through...

this is something i have never understood. people always say that you must release big fish because they have "good genetics". you cant look at a fish and say that it has good genetics just because it was lucky and grew into a trophy. maybe that trophy fish you caught had "bad" genetics and took 2x longer to grow to that size than a normal fish would. maybe these "good" genetics causes some fish to grow quicker than they should be resulting in other abnormalities. id say any fish can grow to be a trophy if it is LUCKY enough to avoid predators (man).

hmmm...i guess nobody fishes that river? ill be there monday to friday. look for a tall almost bald guy with a shorter native guy
-
ill be fishing from shore as well
