do you have a confirmed water leak or are you just speculating at this point? blocks are notorious for wicking water that comes from water sitting near the foundation or rain blowing against the house. its possible that a downspout, improper grading, or wind driven rain is the culprit for the sill plate rotting. older blocks are more porous and can wick water more than new. its funny how such a cheap piece of foam between the plate and foundation can prevent such expensive damage. heck it could even be plumbing on the exterior wall. even though those pipes shouldnt be there, ya never know what some handyman has done in the past. if you are going to insulate your basement or get new siding done make sure you get a home energy audit done on your home before you start. im getting $4-5k in government rebates for my place

i tried out a pyramid scheme (before knowing how they work) and yes they do work and yes you can make big money. the only problem is you never know when you are the next one in line to be ripped off and lose your $$$. the one i used was paying off quite well (44% returns) and some members were putting in $6k investments. all investments yielded a return of 44% every 12 days or a maximum of $2640. thats $5k/month for doing nothing. this site was running for at least a year so the big spenders sure made some decent money off it. i put in $200 or so and it lasted for a few months and i made $600 or so. but then out of nowhere the owner of the website took off with millions of dollars and everyone was screwed...her plan all along. i didnt lose any of my money, but im sure many people lost quite a bit of $$$. live and learn i guess....

lol thats not enough close to the strongest bite in the animal kingdom. human - 120psi lion - 600psi hyena and snapping turtle - 1000psi saltwater croc - 3000psi looks like a west nile is the highest ever recorded at 6000+ psi "He tested the device again on a 18-foot wild male Nile croc, in the wild, unrestrained, that was brumating in a den on an African river bank to escape the daytime heat, by actually crawling down the burrow himself! That animal managed, with a single bite, to exert a pressure of over SIX THOUSAND pounds per square inch, making it the most powerful bite of any animal, ever rec"

about a month ago i picked up 3 of these float lights at bass pro. i get home and 1 worked fine, 1 was really dim and the other wouldnt even turn on. i emailed the company to see if they had a problem batch of lights and apparently they did. so they sent me replacements and these ones are useless too. 1 light was already on and almost dead, another wouldnt turn on, and the last was really dim. 6 lights and only 1 works like it should? is this common or do i just have really bad luck?

the odd thing is i used to be scared of heights and i went for this interview thinking they did renovations. at the interview they asked how i felt about heights and i told them im usually ok. then they tell me they often go up 30 stories on the sides of buildings and i figured i was done for. WHAT!?!? lol. the first day the boss took me up and explained how safe everything actually is when you follow safety precautions. as long as your rigging is setup by people who know what they're doing, you have nothing to worry about. im not afraid of heights anymore and its an awesome job. even more fun when people complain about the noise we are making BEFORE we bust out the pneumatic hammers and big pressure washers. ok ma'am, we'll try to keep it down...TUCKA TUCKA TUCKA

because theres always going to be a snow drift for ya, right? atv's are a little shorter and are very easy to spin around because you can often grab the bumpers and be at a good height for lifting. sleds are usually lower and tend to be harder on the back when moving them around without wheels. atv's are also easier to get outta deep snow when you get stuck. you could debate this until the cows come home but in the end neither is perfect.

ever see those guys working on the side of high rise buildings on swing stages? good chance it might have been me as we work everywhere from sarnia to toronto. i love the views we get to see and not having anyone bugging us when we are up 25 stories. i dont really like working so im currently planning to purchase rental properties so i can retire when i am 40.

for getting cheap ATV's buy in the states! im planning on purchasing an 09 grizzly 550 with power steering this year and the camo version lists for $6,600 at one dealer. the EXACT same ATV is listed for $11,300 at the local yamaha dealer. even with the exchange, duty, taxes, gas, etc it will still be around $3,000 cheaper buying from the US. only a few hundred bucks extra for delivery to the border as well... canadians are getting raped as usual. even the can am ATV's that are made in CANADA are much cheaper in the US...

either you dont know how to drive or you are driving a 90cc atv. i regularly use a sportsman 500 and a grizzly 660. both have 4x4 on demand but do very well in 2x4 in the mud and foot deep snow. with the grizzly its not too often that i actually need 4x4. id go with an atv as it can be used year round. but if you have the money just buy both

i still dont understand why all of this money hasnt been put on your mortgage yet? i have a 4 year mortgage for my home after putting down almost a 40% down payment. any extra money i have goes to the mortgage to pay it off quicker to save interest pay it off quicker. focus on the mortgage and paying that off first. having $25k in GIC's is pointless when you have a mortgage to pay off. the money you make off of those will just cover the interest on your mortgage for the year so you wont really make any money off of your GIC. put all the money you can on your mortgage to pay it off and then think about putting money into various accounts to make interest off them. im 23 and my house will be paid off in february 2010 i plan on using the extra money to buy a triplex and pay that off quickly as well with at least $3k/month mortgage payments. by the time im 35-40 ill have that rental property paid off and likely another one, my current house rented out, and a new home with property paid off. income from at least 6 tenants. now THAT is a retirement plan my goal in life is to retire young and rub it in the faces of those who have doubted me!

i miss the days of having $30k+ in my savings account. gotta love making $120/month interest off money that i could withdraw at any time you can make lump sum payments on your mortgage each year and the amount depends on the bank. im with ING direct (by far the BEST bank to deal with) and they allow you to pay off 25% of the principal each year with no penalties which is much higher than the normal banks. why havent you put this money down on your mortgage already???

it all depends on the hunter, time of year, and condition of the animal. there are fur auctions in toronto every year where some hunters sell their hides. the average for a coyote hide was $30 a couple years ago. theres also a few guys around that will take the carcass off your hands for $10 so they can then sell the animal at auction.

thats why they have this new technology called a swivel with the action you see from all kinds of crazy lures, i doubt it would spook the fish.
-
theres still a few nice bucks kickin around with their head gear on still. some lose them really early while some have them much later than "normal". saying a buck has been dead for a few weeks just because he still has his rack would not be correct. theres a 3 month span when they usually shed... scavengers are a great thing and the bush would be full of rotting carcasses full of bacteria if it werent for possums, coyotes, crows, etc.
-
up? down? what about to the left? right? just close your eyes and thread it onto the hook. likely doesnt matter to the fish which way the tail is pointing...

you can download all kinds of GPS software off the net and use various programs to transfer this software onto your SD cards in your GPS. no its not legal, yes its free my buddy got the topo maps, city navigator, metro guide, and marine maps for his garmin off the net. cant really blame him considering thats likely over $400 worth of maps he got.

first set of pics are squirrel tracks. a coyotes front paws will be a little bigger than the rear while most dogs tend to have paws that are the same size. in the 4th pic in the canine set it looks like 2 critters and coyotes typically wander around in pairs. pretty sure they are coyote tracks. go buy a gun, it would give you a reason to keep tracking them. and even when a bunny is hopping around looking for food their tracks look nothing like a squirrel. larger tracks and one of their hind feet always lands farther than the other. theres also no claw marks until they start running.

i poured concrete basements, garages and porches for almost all of the builders in brantford for about 5 years. some of the crap that you see in most new homes (usually not custom) makes me sick to think that some poor sap is gonna spend $300k on a crappy house. all kinds of problems from the ground to roof top. i poured a pad for someone in a new subdivision this summer. the house is 2-3 years old and i believe there was 26 or so different issues that they found to try and get fixed under warranty. i guess im lucky that ive only worked with good crews. ive seen some pretty pathetic things when it comes to concrete but thats mostly due to the BUILDERS. ive seen a few builders become purple in the face from yelling so much when contractors refused to rush the job. i have personally witnessed footings being poured over mud, walls being poured 2 days after footings, and walls being stripped and back filled a couple days after pouring. turns out a whole wall fell over AFTER the house was framed while working for a previous employer, we had to lay plywood on the MUD in the basement to pour the floor. some were less than 1" of concrete in places while others were 16"+ in others. sometimes heaters would go down and builders would just say make it work... if you refuse to work that day, you get fired. i would never buy a new home...EVER. ive seen enough poop to say that they ALL sub divisions suck (except for custom)

what he said.... i usually use 7-8" suckers or chubs and often catch little 20" pike
