adding leaf springs almost always creates a rougher ride. more importantly it will often make wheel hop worse which can be dangerous if you hit a decent bump on a bend at highway speeds. leaf springs are a permanent option and you have to consider how often you'll be towing or have weight ion the back to see if its worth the bumpy ride all the time. air bags are better, but pumping air into them when you want to tow or move something would be a pain in the butt. google "super springs" for your answer last summer i was considering beefing up the suspension in my dakota because i was sick of it squatting down. i did a ton of research and it seems like the best thing out there are the super spring style springs. there are different brands with slightly different designs, but they all do the same thing. i decided on another brand, but cant think of the name for the life of me. you should be able to find something on the net though. the best thing about these types of springs is they DO NOT affect the ride at all with the truck empty because they are "self adjusting". i was set on buying these, but then i decided that i would just buy a real truck this year i believe a set for my 2000 dakota was going to be around $200...

ummmm...are you sure "dalton" and "good job" belong in the same sentence? more taxes dont help any of us normal joe's. its really that simple. i'll be buying even more stuff out of province and country after this Bull hst comes into effect. the ontario government can stick it where the sun doesnt shine and im going to avoid paying taxes any way possible. im sure others will follow suit. i know that isnt the way i should think and quite honestly i dont like it. i wouldnt have a problem with paying more taxes if the money stayed in our country and helped our own or they actually spent it wisely... -immigrants getting financial assistance while our own are homeless -donating money to other countries when we could use it for healthcare, education, and fixing roads -people abusing the welfare and child support systems when that money could be used for getting children into sports -handouts in the millions to specific groups sure makes me smile too

studio tax is the best free one out there right now as far as i know. the only pain in the butt this year was all the home reno receipts that i had to sort through. but, i'm getting around $900 for home reno's alone so it was worth it. when doing personal taxes it should be easy enough for most people to figure out how to do it yourself with studio tax...for FREE.

buddy of mine actually had 4 used sliders that worked perfectly. just finished mounting them with some aluminum rivets. used 4 all together to make sure the entire floor was supported and curled the two outside ones up the front. now lets hope they dont fall off

for a charger id go with a battery tender of some sort. you always leave the tender hooked up to your battery when at home. it charges the battery then maintains the battery automatically so you are always 100% sure you have a topped up battery when you head out. i believe they make one for pretty much any application... i have one for my ATV and its nice going out in -15 weather and seeing it crank over with power instead of being sluggish from the cold getting to the battery. as to batteries... just buy the larger size deep cycle in any of the major brands. they usually have warranties so you can just replace em for free every couple years?

no it isn't. the baton is either concealed or its not. its either a spring loaded one or not. there are no gray area's when it comes to defining this weapon as prohibited or concealed...one or the other. like i mentioned in my previous post before reading your reply. if the baton and holster are 100% visible it is not possible for you to get nailed with concealed weapon. as long as you use it for dog defense the cops cant do squat. -

well...just an FYI, spring load batons are prohibited while the ones you flick the wrist are 100% legal providing they are never concealed. the baton/holster must be visible at all times or a concealed weapon could come into play. these batons must not be taken lightly as they can kill humans quite easily. for an attacking dog id go for the ribs first and then the head. there are different parts of the body that you whack depending on the threat level... -
thanks guys, have it back to normal now. vinnimon, we only managed a couple dozen perch after a whole day of fishing. literally the worst trip to simcoe i have ever had and a couple buddies thought i was joking when i shared our results for the day. im guessing it was the nasty weather that turned them off. we will be back up there friday. but this time im taking the ATV, borrowing a power auger, and ill be testing out the clam yukon TC that i just picked up yesterday. we shall be fishing in style now

when walking your dog you should ALWAYS have a knife, walking stick, or an ASP baton to deal with other dogs and possibly coyotes. even steel toed boots will help when it comes to canines getting into a scuffle. it seems like whenever you hear about this kinda thing the humans just kinda stand back and "watch in horror" as their best little buddy is getting ripped apart. MAN UP and get in there to help your dog. i know for a fact that my two dogs would be there to help me if i was getting attacked so i'd sure as hell help them. eastern coyotes are usually 40-50lbs so they are quite small. the ones you have to worry about are "coydogs" which are the offspring from a coyote breeding with a domestic dog. they can grow larger and show less fear of humans. before anyone starts...no im not an armchair warrior. ive been in the middle of some nasty dog fights and wouldnt hesitate if a couple yotes were feeling brave. that said...i dont like really small dogs and wouldnt hold a grudge against the yotes that took out that rat dog -
usually you hear about these things happening which is why im thinking it is just my computer doing this... when i click on a thread to view the post and replies, the replies are not displayed like usual and i need to click on each reply to read what it says. like the lakesimcoe forum... something wrong on my end or did i miss something?

hard covers are only good for those who use their truck like a car. as mentioned, its a PITA taking them off every so often when you actually want to use the bed. soft FOLDING covers are the way to go. dont even think about getting a soft cover that uses snaps or velcro around the perimeter if its the typical vinyl material. hard cover or soft...if a thief wants in there neither one will stop them.

so basically you should have started off by saying that you are against hunting animals that wont be eaten and not that you are only against wolf hunting. i can only assume that not too many wolves are shot each year in ontario which would imply that most hunters who shoot one would be happy with their trophy. they would likely take the hide and get it tanned or donate the hide. the meat would likely be fed to dogs or left in the bush...just like coyotes. make up your mind here...are you against wolf hunting just because or are you against hunting that involves leaving meat in the bush? these are two totally different debates...
-
i think you just listed everything that a deer can do? even pigs can do all the things you just listed... so, what makes wolves better than pigs or deer?
-
bahahaha...i love it when someone gets busted for being sneaky... if you are actually catching that many fish one would think that your guiding service would be busy and able to afford proper advertising...

id be one of the people smiling and asking the fisherman how the fight was and what he was doing to catch the fish. i would be happy for him and not rain down on his parade at all. it is a fish that is legal to harvest if you choose so theres no reason to look down on others for their legal actions. in BC it is legal for them to shoot a grizzly bear and leave all of the meat in the bush. i am totally against wasting meat, but those hunters who choose to do this are within their rights to do so. i'd also hold back any comments i had for the hunters because what they had done would be 100% legal. if there is an open season for the fish or animal you are pursuing, then the biologists for that area must have determined that the populations can handle a controlled harvest. btw...how old are you people? young teens are the only ones who would refer to soy foods as being "faggoty"
-
whaling was not stopped because they are "smart" animals. it was stopped because the populations sank off the charts due to over harvesting and not having proper regulations in the past...
-
x2 this is a fishing AND hunting forum so hunting should be openly accepted. if you are against legal hunting then kindly push the "back" button and start viewing other threads that suit your taste. theres no need for those who are against hunting to make comments and start any form of ethics debate. that said, id nail that sucker and make a purdy rug outta him

heading up to simcoe this week sometime and would like to stop and grab some shiners on the way from brantford. where can we stop and pay normal prices for shiners? ive heard nothing but bad stories about bait shops around the lake this winter and would rather not spoil my buddies first ice fishing trip driving around looking for bait. i know we dont need minnows, but both of us are like kids...action or we get bored easily planned on stopping at tall tales in cambridge but they dont open until 9am. thanks for any help

yes, i like to buy things i dont really need anyways, im looking for a dependable auger that is quiet and comes with good blades. are there any brands i should favor? stay away from? how many HP does the average joe actually need? i have a quad so weight is not an issue, but obviously i dont want to lug around a tank of an auger... and of course.... where to go to get the best deal

well, you cant beat the look of the 2010 rams. plus i love the look of a bright silver truck with the lower 12-16" being dark gray. i also want options that are hard to find on a used vehicle... im fully aware that its a waste of money, but i like to get what i want. besides, when i sell my house late this year ill be paying off the truck with the profits from the sale. im thinking of it as a free truck does being aggressive and not budging with price work well? im a no Bull type so an ideal experience would be walk into the dealership, show the details of what i want along with MY price, and give 2 options...either take it or i leave. not sure if thats a good idea tho...

i know i have said that i would never buy big 3 scrap, toyota's are just too expensive and likely cost quite a bit more to fix. i have decided on a 2010 ram 1500 trx model and have started getting quotes from dealers via email. i used the dodge website to build my truck and requested quotes on the exact truck i want and i have only got TWO prices after emailing 12 dealers in a week. you'd think they would reply quickly but that isnt the case. anyways, just wondering if anyone has heard of any dealerships having great deals on the ram 1500's. they currently have $7250 off, but im cheap and want the best deal possible plus i know the stealerships are still making a good buck... ive read many times on the net that telling them you only want to pay dealer cost + 5% is a way to avoid to much Bull, but how the heck do you find out dealer cost? there are multiple websites for the US, but none for canada.
