Hi Moe; Does your boat have any kind of deck? If so make sure the cables are long enough to reach the floor.Definately go for the Bow mount as they will give you more control. They all come with a soet of quick release, so they do come off easily. You'll get more answers with more expertise I'm sure, Size, shaft length, etc.But Minn Kota all the way. All the best

This wont solve your problem, but, For what its worth; my Marine Mechanic told me, NEVER move the Forward/Reverse lever with the motor not running. Forgotten why now, but he has been a mechanic for 30yrs,and knows what he is doing.

First thing I would do is wash the gas cap out in gasoline, there should be a tiny hole under a rubber washer. Worked for me !! 2nd thing ? get in touch with Big Cliff, he knows what he's doing.

I know egzakly how you feel Glen. I did a 9 and a 14 getting home from P.E.I. and was totally wiped out. Glad you got home safe and sound [and got Art home as well, and Joe and Pops ]
