  1. Dont forget to change your moccasins[?] for snow boots. If ya need any more, just let us know !!
  2. Ah kin hear ya young fella, jest caint unnerstand ya !!
  3. Many styles of Tent trailer have a propane heater built in, and a 'fridge that runs off propane. I would be very leery using a portable heater INSIDE a trailer. A 10' box would be a minimum for a family of four. As mentioned Hitch weight has to be considered, my trailer has 241lbs weight, which is close to my Maximum, so I load the trailer with heavy stuff either above the axle or behind it. My personal choice would be to buy new, any problems get fixed under warranty. If you dont like the trailer, they hold their prices pretty good for selling or trading back in.
  4. Gonna move Hell and high water to get there this year. I've missed the last two and this year may be my last chance to 'meet da guy's'. Hope to see y'all agin and meet some new faces.
  5. GBW....Thanks , that makes sense Rob V. I guess $100 isnt much to you, but put yourself on TIGHT pension Gotta think about these things, but I hear where your coming from.
  6. Oh Oh, now I'm leery GBW. Dont keep what in the car, that can cause trouble? Terry. Safe to refill! Bigugli. Considered not safe. Fishfarmer. Appreciate the the information[ I dont play 'follow the leader until I'm sure] Have a PM to check then gotta think some more 'bout this. Thank you all!!
  7. Theres been one or two threads about refilling 1lb bottles from 20lb bottles. and as I use quite a few during summer camping i'm thinking about it. First... is it safe to do ? any danger of over filling ? is it legal ? How do you do it? If you dont want to answer here, PM me. Appreciate any answers and thanks in advance.
  8. We went shopping on Friday to CTC on Lansdowns in P'boro and bought a number of items. Next day [sat] I could'nt find my wallet, after hunting all over the house and car, Wifie 'phoned C.T.C. YES, they had at Customer relations. A Cashier had found it and handed it in YAHOOOOOO!! When I went to pick it up, the Cashier was not at work that day, but I'll be going down on Mon, to try to find her, if not, talk to the Manager All I could think about was the turmoil getting things replaced, I could not remember everything in my wallet. A good question is..... Do you know what is in YOUR wallet
  9. I bought a Rockwood 10' box 'Freedom' 2 yrs ago. It came with a 3 way fridge, propane stove and heater.Other options in the packet included heated mattresses, a portable BBQ that clips on the outside. IMHO, Rockwood workmanship has deteriorated over the years, but we still like the unit and use it quite a lot. [towed it to PEI last year ] Hitch weight can be a problem, depending where the sink and stove are located on the chassis. So check the hitch weight for the vehicle you will be using. Bye the way, our's has a electric winch to raise the roof. At my age that is a Godsend. LOL With a family of 4 you will find a 8' box way too small.
  10. Working on my wood carving's. So far, an Elephant, Seahorse, Loon, and a Red Cardinal. None finished yet but will be for the first Carving show in March.
  11. So,,,,,,whats wrong with 'Solo'. Had one for 2yrs and have had no problems what=so=ever!!!!. I was in Bell Mobility a couple of days ago, and it seems they have a phone that is just that,,,,,a phone. No camera, no computer, etc. Will be looking at that soon.
  12. We never had any kids, so we shared Christmas with family and nieces and nephews. Over the years they have gone their own way,and I started losing the feel of the season.Just getting too commercialized. Today i went to do some shopping and saw a 'Santa' in the Mall. After watching the youngsters line up to talk to Santa, and the expresions on their faces, I came away with a smile on my face. Also a reminder of what Christmas is all about, besides the religious aspect. Thanks fpr this thread JohnF

  19. Thankyou Guy's, I've been flogging a 5hp to death over the years, but it survived with TLC. Anything over 8hp would be too wide for my application. [ I dont feel like widening a pathway ] A 8hp would handle my driveway easily. Randy. That conversion link was just what I was looking for, Thanks again
  20. I'm looking for a new Snowblower and getting confused with the capcity ratings they advertise now. I'm used to HP of course but dont know the conversion to c.c. or ft/pounds Looking at 8 hp, so what would the c.c. or ft/pounds be Thanks for any help, appreciated. Cant 'They' standardise anything any more

  23. I stored my boat outside for yrs on my trailer. The cover I used was that Shrink Wrap, and it lasted a lot of years. I think those Tarps tear or fray too easy Just my 2 cents.
