  7. I guess 'Mercy' aint too particular. Even I got the PM, an old phart like me !!!!
  8. Gee! thats tough Cliff. We got the high winds and HEAVY rain, but no damage here. Glad you are both OK. Let me know if we can help out in any way. Jack and Jackie
  9. I taught Safety for 25yrs[among other things....so Car rated for 1500lbs Boat, motor,& gas = 1200lbs Add weight of passengers and fishing tackle? I'd think you are over your limit. And, the Cops are making checks this year. Good luck, but dont do it,use the truck.
  10. Just a heads up about the front coil springs on the Focus. Just recently I found out that regular warranty [3yrs?] has been improved to 10yrs due to problems with rust and material quality. Check with your Dealer. Nanook
  11. No ignition problems.....yet ryan. Is there a recall on that as well? Wayne, Jackie's car is a 2003 Focus ZX5, as far as I know, the 'normal' warranty has been extended to 10 years because of known problems. Maybe he should have them checked out at the dealership. RUST and material quality seems to be the problem.
  12. Yep !!! right on Ryan. ya must be in the 'Know'
  13. Just got back from a vacation, and here is the list of woes The Fridge in the camper quit Lost the turn signals thro' the trailer harness Wifes car broke BOTH front coil springs Interac had been 'compromised' Now for the accolades. The fridge is under warranty, :thumbsup_ Van 7 Truck world agreed to fix the harness at NO COST, as they remembered a problrm awhile ago My mechanis rembered somthing about coil spring recalls. I went to Ford dealership, and ,yes, coilsprings on certain models have a 10yr extended recall warranty. Got her car fixed up NO CHARGE [$500 would have been the cost which included the tow] Got the cards changed and no loss of funds All the people I dealt with were top class and BOY......am I relieved. I think I'll go get some lottery tickets
  14. Thankyou for the great offer Cliff, tho' I still dont know why I earned it. As I explained in my e-mail to you, I'm sorry I cant make it that day [Can I have a raincheck on a sunny day LOL] I wish you and Sue all the very best with the new boat. I thought you would finish up with Pontoon boat for the later years Jack aka Nanook. Ps. "SUE TWO" for the boat name
  15. Had a Ranger a short while ago, used. OK for 'normal' use and towing a 14' tinny Put a small tent trailer behind it, and it died when it got to a hill. Milage towing was atrocious, and had no guts on the hills, I think the new ones are only rated at 24 miles a gallon, Would'nt thank you for another one.
  16. My comment was directed to standing on the front seat of a TWELVE FOOT tinney. 14' or 16' foot are a different ball game. By the way, I've had 12, 14, 16 ft tinnies, so maybe you are not CLEARLY on the right track. BUT to each his own I guess !!
  17. WOW !!! In this day and age of Safety on the water, I cant believe that you would stand on thr front seat of a 12' Tinny to fish. No wonder the Police are busy looking for bodies. This is not meant to be a 'flame', just amazment on my part.
  18. I had a Weed-whacker acting up on me, and after doing all the usual cleaning, new gas and plug, it still would'nt run. E-mailed Cliff, and he said bring it over. Took it Fri. and being a long w/end did'nt expect any results 'til Tues.Got a e-mail back Sat night ,ready for pickup.I got it back and its working like a dream. Talk about Customer Service, Cliff cant be beat. Anyone having trouble with a small engine, I recomend Cliff 100%. Hope you dont mind this plug for you Cliff, and, Thanks again !! By the way, he sure picks good days to start working on his dock. High winds 3' waves, and bloody cold. Just like last year.
  19. If I were you I'd take the boat and trailer to a Weigh scale and get the accurate tongue weight. Carry the bikes on a roof rack or in the boat, it wont take much to get 200lb on your hitch
  20. Best wishes on your B'day Joey 'Plenty' nine EH !!!!1
