He designed the CTS line of Float Rod blanks for local steelheaders and they are getting great reviews from those using them. Well prices can vary depending on components used but would likely run about $700.00.

Yep, find a local carpet retailer and you'll likely find a heavy duty tube at no cost. Cut to length and cap, I've found that the plastic lids from peanut butter jars will often fit beautifully.
