  1. My challenges with Covid are admittedly, first world problems. My other "hobby" if you will, besides fishing is playing music. I have been playing with the same guys for over a decade, playing gigs in local watering holes about ten times per year. Our last gig was in late February of 2020. Three weeks later and the entire country is in lock down. I have not seen my band mates since, with only the occasional email to stay in touch. As a result, my normal 10 to 20 hours per week, spent playing and practising has come to a full stop. I can't seem to draw the energy required to pick up the instrument and play. The other concern is that one or more members of the band may decide that they have had enough, meaning we may not even be a band anymore. Now that I am fully vaxed, I am hoping that by some time in the early fall, we can gtg again and get back out playing... it's just too much fun not keep going. www.roadgravyband.ca HH
  2. Have you received a Vax shot as of yet? I ask because I know of a few people who got covid and suffered greatly, the long term affects. Some of those noticed that right after they received the vax, many of their symptoms disappeared relatively quickly. It may or may not work for you, but given your current state, it can't hurt. And so sorry that you have to go through this.... HH
  3. Drove by the French river trading post last week, it seems that the only entrance to the shop is on the south bound lanes of 69. Lots of construction going on from the French River bridge to past the Alban exit. HH
  4. My neighbour watching the game last night... HH
  5. Glad I bought those paper bags yesterday! Passed them out to the neighbours! HH
  6. Not sure if I have posted this before, if I have, sorry. This is the very first version of a backing system.... HH
  7. We rented a cottage on Sturgeon a few years ago. We watched a group of people sharing a motel room, a group of about 12 people. They fished every day, all day keeping everything that came over the gunnels, which was mostly pannies. When the buckets got full, they would head to shore where the buckets were grabbed and taken to the room where a team of people were waiting to clean them up. This went on fro most of the week we were there. I have to suspect that they were selling the fish/fillets somewhere.... HH
  8. Two people I know of who went through it said that it was horribly bad during the day, but referred to it as being "The Monster" as soon as the sun went down. HH
  9. We ordered some new patio chairs from CTC for store pickup. They messaged in under an hour to come pick up. Two teens dragged a trolley with our chairs, loaded them up in my truck and we were gone inside 5 minutes. HH
  10. More likely stopped after breaking something! LOL HH
  11. That'll teach you to not to stop! LOL HH
  12. On a fishing board, if you can't keep your bait in the water, than many will think it's stupid. HH
  13. Well, I didn't say it was a perfect solution! LOL HH
  14. Still cheaper than the sticker! HH
  15. It would be like reeling a turkey platter!!!! TugTug Tug! HH
  16. It's been a bout ten days since our last sighting. HH
  17. @DanD... any concern about potential rim leaks with these kinds of aluminum rims? I ask because I have aluminum rims on my Flex and have had trouble with temperature fluctuations causing pressure drops. HH
  18. Assuming they have the money for fuel and wages! HH
  19. Well, it's bigger than my 85 lb Lab! And yes, our vet who saw the video also thought it looked pregnant! I really don't need a bunch of Coywolfs running around in my backyard! Hopefully, it will choose a better place to make it's den. No sign of it so far today, but that's not so unusual. HH
  20. I like George, but we have decided to call him Boris. Kinda gives off that vibe. HH
  21. I had the 46 inch version of this TV. It had the best "organic" picture I have seen, until it didn't! What crapped out that TV was the all to numerous power outages we suffered through here. Fluctuations/spikes when the power went out and back on blew out the power supply module. To replace it would have cost more then the TV (Samsung) I bought to replace it. All these current TV's are built in a modular manner, meaning they don't replace bulging caps or bad resisters, they just swap out the entire board, which are typically really expensive. No component level repairs that I'm aware of. HH
  22. We had a vet visit for our dog this afternoon and showed the video to the vet. He thought it was a Coywolf. Arriving at home after the visit to the vet, the "Coywolf" was back, resting in the ravine in our backyard. I whistled to it, it just look at me, gave itself a scratch and wandered away. In thing I left out.... when it was here this morning around 9:00am and left, a group of deer showed up about an hour later. Three or four of them. My dog has been sniffing up a storm in the backyard and no, we won't let him out there without us having checked it out beforehand. Here's the "sniffy one" resting up for his next encounter.
  23. So this morning, my wife looks out the back window and see's this critter wandering around the pool. Anyone know what one might call this? An hour latter, there were three deer in the back as well. HH 10000000_473375540571499_1150515636682663768_n.mp4
