We had a trade show (NAMM) to attend and we ended up sitting next to the president of Roland Music. the dude was a technology genius. While chatting, our keyboard teacher ask Mr. Roland about some tech in one of their current at the time keyboards. Mr. Roland grabbed a napkin and wrote out the technical design right then and there. We thought he was brilliant... until he told us that back home, they had warehouses full of new technology they had developed and were going to put out to the market, but not until they had made enough profit on the existing product line! I have to believe that all tech companies work this way in order to meet demands of their shareholders. HH

Made back ribs earlier this week. Dry rub, and 4 hours in the oven at 275f. It was difficult to remove them from the pan as they just fell apart. Put them under the broiler for a bit with BBQ sauce, crisped them up... gone! HH

Tenderloins marinated in Jerk Sauce, a couple of days. Low and slow on the BBQ, with rice a peas. HH

That's an assumption I wouldn't make Big Cliff. In order to know for sure if you already had it, you would need to be tested for anti-bodies. Until you do that, I think it would be wise for you to assume that you haven't had it and avoid places where you could catch it. I would not take the vax out of my thinking. HH

You are talking about the first wave of vax. I have no expectation of receiving the vax until the fall of 2021. There more important people like health care workers, the elderly who will see the first batch. HH

Honestly, I won't be happy until we are out of this dumpster fire. The only path I can see it through is vaccine. Vaccine is only effective if most if not all take it. Have we not noticed how our friends to the south are suffering as a result of anti media and anti vax attitudes? I truly hope that none of you have to go through the effects of this virus... HH

I can't agree more. Firstly, there is simply no evidence that you cannot get this virus twice, so anyone who thinks they have already had it, should think twice about not getting the shot. If there is going to any path to normalcy in our lives, folks are going to have to get the shot, otherwise, we will be living in this purgatory for years to come. I also can't wrap my head around the ant- vaxers. Is it your goal to infect and potentially kill off those folks in your life that may have brought you into this world? Or do you simply not believe that there is any risk with this virus? What the heck are you afraid of? I would much rather deal with any potential side-affects for the vax, then I would with the multitude of side effects from the virus... but I get that some folks just don't see it that way. They would be wrong! HH

Freshly ground horseradish is great stuff! Fabulous on a sandwich, smoke pork hock, roast beef etc.... When planting it, be sure to give it lots of room to spread, because spread it will! Little shop of horrors come to mind. And Big Cliff is correct, the stuff will grow anywhere. Just peel it like a carrot, and grate it. I also find it to be a much more "mellow" flavour then the processed stuff. HH

We have to do what we have to do Wayne... we've had my MIL locked up in her Toronto apartment since March 9th. At 85, we don't want to lose her as we lost my wife's Aunt. And, as Ron White says, "You can't fix stupid"! You just have to try and not let them drag you down to their level. HH

Well, this crap is getting real, real fast! My wife is a Principal, K-6 with a "DD" wing as well. A full 50% of students are doing remote learning, leaving approx 250 kids still attending in person. As of this morning, there are SEVEN confirmed cases of teachers testing positive. One has been hospitalized. One student is positive. One of the teachers who is positive updated my wife yesterday on her status and compared the symptoms she is enduring, shake shivers etc, as being worse than when she contracted Malaria! Folks, this is NOT the time to be complacent. I can't understand why this school and the others who are likely in the same situation aren't closing!!!! If you can. please consider bringing yourself and those you care about back to a self imposed Stage One. And wear the freaking mask!!!! HH

The beauty of the Mitchell 300 is that it was easily repairable and parts were available for a really long time. I recall back in my youth in London, there was an elderly gentleman who repaired Mitchell's from his garage. I went with my Dad to get repairs done on a couple of Mitchell's including my 309 (I'm a lefty) and he had all the parts and fixed it right in front of you. I learned a lot just watching him. Bail springs were the usual culprit. My collection of Mitchell's includes early 300's, made in France as well as some mid 80's reels and lots of spare spools! HH

I have a pretty extensive collection of Jiggin Raps, sans tail piece. Unfortunately, the tail piece usually drops down into the ice hole when it falls off! HH

Wouldn't a Dangerous Operation charge reflect on his driver's license and future insurance costs? HH
