  1. I was perch fishing Cook's bay on early ice, might have be3en 4-5 inches of ice. I could hear the ice cracking, coming from the big lake, making it's way down Cook's Bay. It just kept getting closer. There was no snow on the ice and as it drew closer, I could see the crack forming as it ripped down the bay. Well, dosen't the silly thing head right for me and split right down the middle of my ice hole. Pretty sure I wore out the seat of my float suit from the inside that day! HH
  2. So much for the allure of jail and the three squares and a roomy Lew! HH
  3. Great story Lew! But I have to ask, how was the food? LOL HH
  4. Use a lighter to heat and remove the the rod tip. Take the old tip with you when you hit a tackle shop and use it as a guide to properly size the replacement. Glue the new one in place. HH
  5. Terry's will be broken right outta the box! LOL HH
  6. Some of those guys are pretty lucky that their boats aren't any wider!!!!! HH
  7. Apparently turning Ipperwash into a dump site wasn't enough. That or they have no more room at Ipperwash for all their garbage and need to expend to the Pinery. HH
  8. Here we go again... HH
  9. Start trolling as soon as you leave Picton harbour, right at the pump house. Troll the East shore line going no shallower than 25 ft. Minimum of 200ft of line behind the board and at least 150 - 200ft+ from your planer board to the boat. Be the first boat out of Picton, start fishing before the sun comes up. Yellow baits before the sun, blue, green, purple after the sun comes up. Probably too late in the season to run worm harnesses... For eaters, if the conditions allow, jig the trench just west of the ferry. HH
  10. I should know better than to tell the devil my secrets! Took two hours to log in this morning.... HH
  11. Thanks for your time and efforts Art! The site has been stable for me since Saturday, good work gentlemen! HH
  12. TPS is reporting that 5 pedestrians have been hit this morning in the GTA. I keep reminding my kids, just because you have the right of way as a pedestrian, doesn't make you immune to being hit. You have to assume that every vehicle near you can't see you and be on the defense. HH
  13. Roloff is going to be a star! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy Simon! I hope it works out for you. HH
  14. I've been getting a SQL error, only in the morning, today and yesterday. Obviously I am back now... HH
  15. Is it the original coil? Might be the culprit? HH
  16. Take his car because it was faster!!! LOL Lew!! Keep 'em coming boys! HH
  17. Well, I did kinda have Terry in mind when I thought up this topic, but I wasn't planning on outing him! LMAO! Keep 'em coming folks... I put "NF" in the title, but I certainly would be happy to entertain some fishing related stupidity! HH
  18. I thought this topic might have some humourous tales to be told and who doesn't love a good laugh now and then. I'll start; I recently bought a leaf blower. I just got tired of raking leaves and sweeping the front of my house. My blower will also vacuum up loose debris, so I thought I would pick up the leaves along the garage door. What I didn't check was under the leaves, which had me pick up and mulch one of my 90lb Labrador Retriever's poop bags. I'll be SURE to check, before I decide to do that little trick again. Feel free to confess your less than Einstein moves, I think we all could use a laugh these days! HH
  19. Yah, what Lew said! John has been awesome to me whenever I have had a question... HH
  20. Completely agree Bowslayer. Not much "new" that matches the classic rock format and has the longevity to be an icon such as those we have lost lately. I honestly don't hold a lot of hope for the "classic rock" genre, as I do play in a classic rock bar band and gigs are getting harder to secure, as "millennial's" would rather Karaoke or a DJ as opposed to seeing a live band in the bars. My own one time seeing The Hip was when they opened for Rush at MLG many years ago. I'll never forget that show, not for the music, but for the first words outta Gord's mouth when he hit the stage... "What a dump!" And he was right, MLG was a dump! I still laugh out loud when I think of that show. HH
  21. I had a Heddon Spook in strawberry that I used once, put in my box and the next day, the paint began to come off in chunks. Right down to the wood. HH
  22. I had tears rolling down my face.... HH
  23. https://globalnews.ca/news/3806747/actor-john-dunsworth-has-died-at-the-age-of-71/ I thought this guy played his part perfectly, always made me laugh, a lot! The Park isn't going to be the same with his passing. I hope his family finds peace... HH
