  1. I've been getting a SQL error, only in the morning, today and yesterday. Obviously I am back now... HH
  2. Is it the original coil? Might be the culprit? HH
  3. Take his car because it was faster!!! LOL Lew!! Keep 'em coming boys! HH
  4. Well, I did kinda have Terry in mind when I thought up this topic, but I wasn't planning on outing him! LMAO! Keep 'em coming folks... I put "NF" in the title, but I certainly would be happy to entertain some fishing related stupidity! HH
  5. I thought this topic might have some humourous tales to be told and who doesn't love a good laugh now and then. I'll start; I recently bought a leaf blower. I just got tired of raking leaves and sweeping the front of my house. My blower will also vacuum up loose debris, so I thought I would pick up the leaves along the garage door. What I didn't check was under the leaves, which had me pick up and mulch one of my 90lb Labrador Retriever's poop bags. I'll be SURE to check, before I decide to do that little trick again. Feel free to confess your less than Einstein moves, I think we all could use a laugh these days! HH
  6. Yah, what Lew said! John has been awesome to me whenever I have had a question... HH
  7. Completely agree Bowslayer. Not much "new" that matches the classic rock format and has the longevity to be an icon such as those we have lost lately. I honestly don't hold a lot of hope for the "classic rock" genre, as I do play in a classic rock bar band and gigs are getting harder to secure, as "millennial's" would rather Karaoke or a DJ as opposed to seeing a live band in the bars. My own one time seeing The Hip was when they opened for Rush at MLG many years ago. I'll never forget that show, not for the music, but for the first words outta Gord's mouth when he hit the stage... "What a dump!" And he was right, MLG was a dump! I still laugh out loud when I think of that show. HH
  8. I had a Heddon Spook in strawberry that I used once, put in my box and the next day, the paint began to come off in chunks. Right down to the wood. HH
  9. I had tears rolling down my face.... HH
  10. https://globalnews.ca/news/3806747/actor-john-dunsworth-has-died-at-the-age-of-71/ I thought this guy played his part perfectly, always made me laugh, a lot! The Park isn't going to be the same with his passing. I hope his family finds peace... HH
  11. A true artist wouldn't be using spinning reels. And that doesn't even look like Art. HH
  12. Tom Petty has sold over 80 million records... probably more since his passing has put his catalogue back up on the Billboard charts. Can't find Aldean's sales, but I would hazard a guess that they are not near the 80 mill + range. HH
  13. Last nights loss will be a learning lesson for the team. Babs will get them straightened out... HH
  14. Exactly, so I suggest, after watching these guys for 50 years, that we all slow down, enjoy the the good times, but let's keep our feet on the ground for a bit... HH
  15. When you hit 50 years of watching, you'll understand where I am coming from. I would hate to see my fellow Leaf fans go through what I and other long time fans have been through... and like every other team in the league, we are one injury away for being in the middle of the pack. Andersen goes down and trouble is on the horizon. HH
  16. Ok fellow Leaf fans, I am pretty stoked about our team this year, but having been down this road many times in the past, I am still somewhat reticent to dive head first. They have only played three games and mostly played well in those three. I see folks here getting themselves in a spin about how good they are, well, they haven't won anything yet! Are things much more promising than they have been in the last 50 years, yah, they are. But I think it may be a little early to start planning the parade route just yet. Stay strong and fish on! HH
  17. One tip I can pass along as a result of my buddy FishnSled getting his transom replaced. If your transom has a metal cap on it, I would suggest that you put a rubber gasket between the transom and the cap. It will stop any water from getting under the cap and sitting there, trying to rot your transom. And I would agree with the other poster re the cherry wood... likely to crack from the vibrations of trailer and or motor. At least with plywood, there is glue in place to help hold it all together; and glue is always stronger than wood. HH
  18. So sorry for your loss Cliff... HH
  19. John, with the "Hollis" group, that is now IA, you can avoid many fees if you invest in certain funds that they manage. I've been with them for years. HH
  20. Call the band "Free Beer" and you'll fill the place! HH
  21. I closed the pool last week... gonna be nothing but hot tongue and cold shoulder for me for the next week to come! HH
  22. Dan, I've had both Mustang and Salus jackets. My current jacket is a Salus. If I were to buy again, I would likely go with the Mustang as I have found it to be more comfortable to me and I hate the pockets, or lack there of in the Salus. Perhaps they have changed that in recent models, but the Mustang has pockets that are easy to get to and many more than the Salus. Makes it easier not having to dig in my tackle bag, in the cold. As I have never fallen in, I can't speak to their flotation qualities. HH
  23. Dan, I remember fishing Springbank Dam for Salmon in late August and September. Most years, there was a run of shad so thick, you could walk across the river on their backs. I'm assuming that that musky has followed the shad up the river and has been gorging on them all the way up. I still think the Carp are pretty nervous! HH
  24. I bet the carp are getting pretty scared!!!! LOL HH
  25. TD Centre under ground, entrance off of Wellington is flat $10.00 from 5:30pm to 5:29am week days. Same with weekends. You can then take the "PATH" right to the ACC and you won't need a coat in the winter. HH
