  1. Simon, the first time I watched that I was laughing so hard, I had to go back and watch it again! That has to be one of the funniest things I have seen! I felt like a passenger on the trips out and back and yah, when Rolloff shook the water off his back, tears! Thanks so much for sharing this! Hysterical! HH
  2. Nice Brian. I know this means a lot to you and I am very happy for you both. HH
  3. I think Babs is going to use this as a learning lesson and will have the team where he needs them for tomorrow night. I thought the ice in Washington was way worse than the ACC. HH
  4. I was sitting in the end red seats. For one period, the Leafs goal was in our end. I don't need to re-watch anything, I saw it with my own eyes. And I saw things that folks at home missed when the camera followed the play. Bill, I am not singling out Zietsev, I agree the whole team played poorly for most of the game, but some stuck out more than others and Zietsev looked out of place and a few moments late all night. Soft as well! HH
  5. From my view point, it wasn't the ice. They were out of sink. Passes just out of reach that last game were tape to tape. They got out worked and out skated for most of the night. They didn't look like a team that wanted to win, they looked like a team that thought they would use their talent to win vs their proven winning method, out skate and out work. Bill, normally I would agree about not sitting a defenceman, but Zietsev was a liability all night. I don't know what his +/- is, but he looked soft, scaredand unwilling to get dirty. Playoffs are dirty. HH
  6. It looked from my seat like the Leaf's thought that the Caps were going to mail it in, right from the puck drop. Both goalies looked awful, the Leaf's D were fighting the puck all night and frankly, it looked like the Leaf's were going through the motions. It wasn't until the Matthews goal, that we saw the real Leafs. Alas, it was too late. Babs will have their heads back on straight for Friday's game. I would sit Zietsev, he just looks lost out there. Four beers plus tip... $70.00! We did get a "free" 100 year Leaf's towel and a Leaf's car flag though... HH
  7. Not the first person to tell me that! HH
  8. Buddy called me yesterday... i am off to the game tonight! Go LEAFS GO!!! Gonna be hard to get any work done tomorrow as I am pretty sure I will lose my voice tonight. The wife will be happy! HH
  9. Correct me if I am wrong, but if I recall the pic correctly, the fish had grass and leaves all over it. Not the best plan of attack for safe release of the fish. HH
  10. Thursday's game had numbers in the 2 mill range and Saturday's numbers were approaching 3 mill. So, numbers similar to Blue Jays although I expect them to keep on rising as the the fortunes of the team rise. HH
  11. Well, United thought he was special! Special enough to be asked off the plane. I have been bumped, once leaving Toronto and once they attempted to bump my wife and I in Paris. We were lucky that a group of high school kids (25) were on the same flight and volunteered to stay a day in Paris, all compted. Came close to getting arrested at the airport, armed cops and all, but we got our flight and we both made it to work the next day. I agree that the "victim" acted like a spoiled child, but I don't agree with airlines' bumping policies. HH
  12. Lew, load that thing up and hit a local antique dealer and pay for an evaluation. That way you will be pretty sure as to it's value and you and the potential buyer can avoid buyer/seller remorse. Make a morning of it and take you lovely wife out for breakfast! HH
  13. I believe the old saying goes something like this... "No good deed goes unpunished". HH
  14. As always Simon, I enjoy watching you and Roloff catch fish! Pretty far from boring and I couldn't find a political thread! LOL Perhaps a quick check of the jig and a brush by with a honing stone, would get you more hook ups? Either way, colour me jealous! HH
  15. OV, no shots after the first period. not sure what happens to him in the playoffs, but he disappeared as he usually does in the playoffs and international play. Still would like to see someone nail him to the boards, but unlikely as he hardly ever gets into dirty places as he flys by looking for the one timer. HH
  16. They had to raise the price to pay their hydro bill! Filled up last night at my local for $1.12. Didn't look at what it's at this morning. HH
  17. Buy both sizes at CT, return the one you don't need on Monday. Time problem solved. HH
  18. The Leafs of last night were not anywhere near, the Leafs of the previous game. I think Babs said it best at the post game pressy... We didn't learn anything because we didn't play well enough. Recent history shows us that when this team loses, they learn from it and come out firing on all cylinders in their next group of games. I have to think that there a more than a few teams who are looking at the Leafs and hoping they don't see them in the first round. Too much speed, to much fire power and a hot goalie. And, they have absolutely nothing to lose. HH
  19. Upton hit under .200 last year for the Jays and hit under .200 with three homers this spring. It's nice to have speed on the base paths, but you have to actually get on base, for that to happen. His signing was a good idea that cost the Jays very little, with a potential big up-side, unfortunately, the up-side never showed itself. HH
  20. My boss is a prince! -no O.T pay -no paid vacation -no benefits -on call 7 x 24 -no bonus -always complaining about something... GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!! -Flatulence - copious amounts -makes me walk his dog three times a day! And that's just off the top of my head! HH **** Self employed btw.
  21. From the looks of those pics, I'd say you are doing alright! Thanks for sharing and yes, we would like more! HH
  22. I have to believe that middle of nowhere Walmart is a better shopping experience than in the middle of everything Walmart! I haven't been in a Walmart in four years! When I shop, I want a shopping experience, not a example of bad behaviour and poor child raising techniques... But fully understand Rick. HH
  23. That'll learn yah for going to Walmart! HH
  24. This is a rocked up version. Currently learning this diddy with my band. Drummer kicks butt in this vid. HH
  25. Agreed! Historically, we had many gtg's back in the old days, some for wings, some to fish, but all of them face to face meetings where we would swap manly stories. I met one of my best buds at a gtg held by Fishheadrick at Ashbridges Bay. Rick BBQed some chicken, we tossed lures for trout and salmon and met some pretty cool folks. As the number of members grew over time, the old guard will have kept in touch, but the number and frequency of gtg's decreased. To some degree, that's why some of the more recent members have felt like they are on the outside, lookin in. My advice, set up a gtg! Invite everyone and who knows, you may end up meeting some cool people and make some long term friends. Many of us have been through the good times and bad times together, this place has helped us all. HH
