Albert Gore Junior wins Nobel Peace Prize
Headhunter replied to TennesseeGuy's topic in General Discussion
I'll do my part... I'm engineering a new method to try and cap off all of the volcanoes on the planet! There, that'll do it!LOL HH -
Dude looks like Gerritt!!LOL HH

There was a malicious "Worm" mentioned in the paper today, could it be that, which is tying up bandwidth across the net? HH

Albert Gore Junior wins Nobel Peace Prize

Yes DouG, it is mighty noble of him to donate the funds to his own organization!LOL I'm definately not arguing the merits of everyone doing their part for the ecology of the planet as a whole, but I do have many issues with many of the people taking a "leading" role in the movement. I question their motives. Too many of us just accept everything we read as gospel... I'm like the fly in the ointment!LOL HH -

It is also quite possible that Mr. Gore and his group of near at hand cronies, are simple fleecing the masses of their hard earned cash and padding their already over stuffed wallets with said funds. I can't believe that in the entire world, they couldn't have found a better qualified candidate for the prize! Interestingly, last week I read an article that stated that Al Gore's movie was to become part of the school curriculum in England, until a judge ruled that there are far too many wrongs in the film, to actually allow it to qualify as an educational film... I hope he spends his money wisely! :asshat: HH -
Very cool... thanks for posting! HH

I stepped out of the house this morning for a smoke and honestly, the first thing I thought of was that it "smelled" like Quinte Fishin weather... cool air, the smell of the leaves... big eye time is soon here! HH

As I have said to you personally, your strength is remarkable. You were one of the first to try and connect with me last week during my family's time of tragedy. Unfortunately, I was not around at the time to be there for you. Thanks for reminding us how important times with family and friends really is and I will give my kids an extra hug tonight when I get home. G, give Liam an extra hug tonight, you are a very special person. HH

Drove through Picton a couple of weeks ago and it sure looked like the Tip of the Bay was open and doing a brisk business. Perhaps those who need a place could look into it. They have docks for their customers right outside the hotel and are reasonably priced. HH

Next time out, try starting in 380 ft of water and heading deeper. Most action I've seen this year has been in the 380 to 420ft of water... approx 14 to 15 miles out. Hope this helps. HH

Just wanted to drop this note and say thank you to all for your support to me and my family during this difficult time. I've shown many members of my family this thread and I must say that we are all over-whelmed by your kindness and show of support. It's to say the least a very confusing, challenging and emotional time for us, but we have gathered strength through your support and the support of others. Love the ones your with, give'm a hugg when they don't know why and cherish your time together... life has a nasty way of mess'n with your plans. HH

Thanks to all for your kind words and best wishes. This has really hit our family hard and I suspect that it's going to really come to a head on Saturday at the memorial service. I'm amazed a the number of people who's lives were touch by my Dad. It's quite overwhelming actually. Gary, yes the accident that has been in the papers and TV, here in Southern Ontarion was indeed my Dad. It was a freak thing and it happened so quickly, thank goodness, but it's still very difficult to accept right now. To those who sent me PM's, your kindness is overwhelming. HH

Found out yesterday that my Dad was killed when his tracker flipped over on him, while bringing in wood from his forrest. I'm heading to London very shortly to be with family and will not be on the board for a bit. I do want to write up the story of his life and how he affected me and taught me so many things, I just can't do it right now. Stay well and love the one's your with... they go so fast. HH

Roy, that video has the entire office laughing out loud! Thanks! HH

Thanks Hooknrelease... your experience is similar to mine as far as techniques are concerned. Glad to hear they are still out there! Hopefully I can get it together and get out again on Sunday. Thanks again! HH PS... we did well with Lead Core; ten colours in the water off of an in-line planer board.

Working towards some plans for the coming turkey weekend, with an eye to heading out into vast depths of Lake O. I've fished it in August as well as September with some success. My question is as follows, Do the hoards of Steelies and Coho that are out there all summer stay out there in the fall or would we see them begin to move in closer to shore. Ideally, I'd rather not burn the gas to get out 15 miles to find that the fishery tails off in the fall. I'm certainly not lookin for guarantees, just anyone who has been out there at this time of year and their thoughts on it! Your thoughts are appreciated. HH

You may end up with insurance issues as well, if you over-power the boats recommended rating. HH

Part of the Problem, Solution, or Bystander?

Well said, I think you hit the heart of the matter and a very viable potential solution. Sign me up! HH -
A man took his wife to the rodeo and one of the first exhibits they stopped at was the breeding bulls. They went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said, "This bull mated 50 times last year." The wife playfully nudged her husband in the ribs and said,"He mated 50 times last year." They walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said, "This bull mated 120 times last year." The wife gave her husband a healthy jab and said, "That's more than twice a week! You could learn a lot from him." They walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters, "This bull mated 365 times last year." The wife, so excited that her elbow nearly broke husband's ribs, said, "That's once a day. You could REALLY learn something from this one." The husband looked at her and said, "Go over and ask him if it was with the same cow." UPDATE: The husband's condition has been upgraded from 'critical' to 'stable' and he should eventually make a full recovery. HH

Unfortunately, my feelings are that this will not stop, but only continue to get worse, until something drastic takes place. By drastic, I mean someone really getting hurt or, god forbid, someone gets killed. As a society, it appears we have to be pushed to the extreme, before we actually become pro-active and do something about it. It saddens me that some peoples first impressions of fishing in this province, could be tarnished in this way. I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect in the long run, I will be right. HH

I can't see how adding more "piggy's" to the already over stuffed trough will help anyone other then politicians! We already have to pay them, plus their pensions (that are indexed to inflation) forever and a day... just another money grab from the folks accustomed to eating up all OUR money! HH

Hey Tybo... been running lead core off of in-line boards for a while now... 10 colours, no problem as long as you have the following; - for Off Shore boards, be sure to change the clips to the snap down locking kind -Mr. Walleye boards do not require a clip change... they work great right out of box. HH
