  1. It is not unusual for Alex to spend a week or two in the studio just doing a guitar solo! Not surprising that many find it very difficult to copy. HH
  2. Really enjoyed his work, especially the Canadian outdoors paintings, so much detail you would think your looking at a photo... would love to own one, but I think priced out of my range... condolences to his family! HH
  3. The first time I saw Rush, it was during the "A farewell to Kings Tour", Max Webster opened the show. Great pics TJ... I see Geddy is gettin better lookin with time!LOL HH
  4. Great scenery shots Joey... um... except the one's with Tybo in them!LOL Looks like God's country to me! Well done. HH
  5. Well done folks! It looks like from the picture, FishnSled didn't go to the "Mercury Hair Salon" over the weekend!LOL Well done everyone! HH
  6. Ok... here's how you beat this system... if your buying say a book that cost $39.00 CAD and is marked $29.00 US, simply go to the bank or a money exchange place, change your CAD to U.S. and buy the book using U.S. dollars! Problem solved! HH
  7. Watching the news last night, a reporter was speaking to a General Manager at a large car dealership and asked him when we could expect to see prices drop for new vehicles? The GM suggested that we probably won't. Asked why prices are that much higher in Canada, vs the U.S., his response was that Canadians are "accustomed to paying more and will continue to do so until they decide not to! I appreciated his honesty, but not necessisarily his answer! HH
  8. Wow... some really nice foot balls there! Congrats on what appears to be a great year! Sweet pics! HH
  9. Just got a call from my wife, she's a Principal at a school at Main and Danforth (one subway stop away) very smokey and still burnin away! HH
  10. Don't forget to bring the "Dr." as well!LOL HH
  11. Agreed Brian! HH
  12. I knew that Raf! Doesn't change the attitude displayed here in any way shape of form though, does it!?
  13. Nice 2nd post Corey! HH
  14. That set-up is just fine Cliff... I wouldn't change a thing, ok, I'd have chosen the Sealine over the Okuma but... you should be just fine. HH
  15. Forgot to mention in the original posting... spent some time last night before I left the house lookin for my flash light. Well, since we've moved into this house, I have difficulty finding almost anything!LOL Anyway, decided to stop off at CTC on the way and pick up a new one. Picked the floating one as I thought, well, if I mistakenly kick it into the water, no problem. Well, put the battery in it, tried it out, workin fine... yes... my CLeo will glow like a satisfied woman! Used the light to walk out onto the pier, charged my cleo, set the light gently down on the rock and started casting. About 5 casts later, I figure it's time for a re-charge. Nothin, nada, zippo... no light. Set my rod down, take the light apart and back together again... about 10 times... nothin! Well I'm pretty sure the dang thing floats... and since I bought the bright yellow one... does anyone need a channel marker or rock marker! Dang! HH
  16. Really glad it ended the way it did... man, having been out on Erie, an equally far distance from sanctuary, I can only imagine what was going through your head. Adding your two year old into the equation is something I don't even want to consider. Thanks for the story and again, glad it didn't end worse. HH
  17. Mikey, I have that Fenwich rod you mentioned, I picked it up last fall for chuckin spoons. I like and have no problems with it. HH
  18. Interesting read there... why does it seem that anyone who encounters this C.O. has to some degree, felt that their rights have been trampled? Is this guy a lone wolf solving the world's problems? Is it that he's located in such a remote area that he feels he can and will do what ever he wants? I have seen far too many examples of his "approach" to his job here, that lead me to believe that someone in a position of power, needs to clip this guy's wings. Don't get me wrong, I do want him to do his job and protect the resource, but not at the expense of our rights! They are more important than the resource IMHO. HH
  19. You bet Gerritt! We'll connect next week to work something out! I've got a few ideas! HH
  20. Escaped the house last evening for a few hours of Cleo chuckin. Arrived at the pier at about 8:15, only two other fisher folks there. Tossed Mr Cleo for a couple of hours, he's very clean now, however, he is also un-marked! No bumps, no fish spotted jumpin and no fish observed being caught. Alas, no pic either! Left at around 10:30... will giver a go again on the weekend. Perhaps try another pier? HH
  21. Again, great shots 007! RE the bear... if you wanted to see more, visit the dump just outside of Killarney... the kids love watchin them! HH
  22. Thanks for the report! I think any of us who have experienced the spooling factor, know that sound intimately! LOL HH
  23. Great report and pics! Having spent some time in that area, I can say that you did an excellent job of capturing some of the beauty of that area. I knew you'd enjoy the School bus fish n chips! Lookin forward to part 2 as well! HH
  24. I'd say there is some pretty good advice for you here, from the "peanut Gallery" HH
  25. Sounds like you were fishin "Clown Lake"! LOL Thanks for the laugh, it was a good read. HH
