  1. Lookin good guys! Very SPOOKY! My kids were on Breakfast Television this morning as they were doing the show live from their day care centre! Way to cute! HH
  2. Wow Photoz! Not what I expected to read, but thanks for making us aware and perhaps nudging some folks towards their doctor! Stay well and thanks! HH
  3. Well, I for one certainly don't like catchin Drum, aka Sheepie, aka Water Goat! I guess the same logic as why trout guys don't like catchin Suckers, bass guys don't want gobies etc... Yah, they fight, but they are not a game fish and the time it takes to bring them in, get up-hooked and outta the net, my bait may well have been in front of a nice double digit Eye! HH
  4. If your looking for a boat for the cottage, I'd suggest getting a metal boat over glass. Far more forgiving when the occasional rock or pull up on shore becomes your option. Hope this helps? HH
  5. "Man who put cream in tart, not always baker!" HH
  6. Thanks Doug and Cliff... I called the dude DouG suggested and he's good to go! Another reason why I love this place... people in the know and willing to share info! You guys are the best! HH
  7. of a place in the GTA that will repair a Mini DV tape that got eaten by my video recorder? We had a celebration at my home recently and we video taped the opening of the presents for my 4 year old. After everyone left, my family and I decided to watch the tape. After our viewing, I tried to re-wind the tape to the front, only to have it get chewed by the camera! I have some experience splicing magnetic tape and gave it a go numerous times, to no avail. I'm guessing that the digital code that the camera places on the tape (something like SMPTE) is not allowing the machine to run it properly? Anyway, does anyone know of a shop that will repair this tape... too many memories on it, to just throw away! Thanks, HH
  8. What Tony said, or if your out in waves like they saw last weekend, I'd give 40 -80ft behind the board a go. You won't see those fish on your finder, but I have seen them up near the surface, top 15 ft of water, during really windy days. If your going to give shallow a try, just be sure to let out at leaset 150 to 200ft of line, from the boat to the board. HH
  9. Great pics Joey and nice sweet bass for Tybo! Now, if we can only convince Paul to buy a new hat! LOL HH
  10. Thanks for the report Mike! Always nice to hear how BOQ is fairing. It's been my experience that, if your catchin Sheepers, your probably trolling too high in the water column. For what it's worth. HH
  11. Wow, what a great read! I was wondering, Do you happen to have a sister? LOL I have a buddy lookin for a woman just like you! Congrats and kudos to Fishmaster as well! Some fine lookin eats there! Well done! HH
  12. Hey Wanye, have you considered putting wings on that boat... sure would make to rough days on Temagami easier! HH
  13. Hey Gerritt, the deck looks great... a far cry from the adventure the old one was, especially at night... finding one of those open spots could really wake you up! The current Ontario record trout, yah, that ugly, deformed monster caught by a husband and wife fishin for Picker-eyes was caught no more than 5 miles as the crow flies from the cottage. I would suspect that most if not all of the Bows you guys caught were "croakers"... again, nice fish and yah, the cottage is lookin like it's startin to really come together! Thanks again G for posting! HH
  14. Great story Misfish! I love the shot of Terry holding the hand rail before you even hit the nasty water... perhaps Terry has some "Kreskin" in him!LOL Thanks for taking the time! HH
  15. Wow G! Camp "Sleep Deprivation" really put out for you guys this year! Too bad they were all members of the "spotted carp family"!LOL Boy some of those guys are gettin uglier every year!LOL Yah, I'd love to get up there next year... I think certain people know the number!LOL Thanks for posting! HH
  16. Nice fish Solo! I always enjoy your reports! I don't get why some folks insist on insulting others, while off handedly promoting themselves? Nater, perhaps you should have posted your own thread to show us your catch? You obviously wanted us to see it! They are really only fish, whether your obsessed with them or not, they are just fish! Keep'em comin Solo! Your a class act and I'm sure if a pole was taken as to who the members here would like to fish with, you'd be near or at the top! It's just a fish for cryin out loud! HH
  17. Not the forecast for Adolphus, but check out this link and perhaps consider a different launch or location! http://www.crh.noaa.gov/product.php?site=d...i&version=1 HH
  18. Congrats Cliff... did someone say PEPPERETTES! HH
  19. Hey Johnny, I agree, the folks driving the "Global Warming" topic are scientists, but on who's payroll? I think you need to do some more research into who's paying who for their expertise and keep in mind that there are agendas running in the foreground and background all across this topic. My dis-trust for international comglomerates is very much like yours, however, I believe that they are also the main players in this debate as well. Divide and conquer lives on! BTW - my exact point Doug! We grow food for energy, meanwhile the very poor starve as prime farmland is used to grow energy as opposed to food. Ethanol does not provide the energy that fossil fuels do and the only reason they are pursuing it south of the boarder is that G.W. needs to show the public some kind of "solution". HH
  20. Johnny B, I appreciate your interest in this topic and the fact that it seems you have done your research. What does confuse me by your posts is that you obviously believe that big money, ie oil companies, the very rich, are the people responsible for many of the things that you deem to be wrong with the world. So, what I'm confused about is why it seems so difficult for you to believe that big business, oil company's etc... are also the ones driving the whole "Global Warming" phenomenon in an effort to pad their wallets from a different perspective. If you were in an industry that had a finite resource and thus, can see the writing on the wall, wouldn't you make every effort to secure new revenue streams? Scare tactics have been around since the dawn of man, they get people to do things they don't really want to, believing that they are doing it in their own best interest.. It's the same difference, except they are coming at us from a different angle. Again, I do not wish to be dis-respectful of anyones opinion, just trying to understand peoples stances on the topic. BTW - it's been proven that it takes more energy to make ethanol, then is derived from it! The only reason there's so much talk about it, is because the U.S. could be self sufficient on energy, if they switched to ethanol. Short term fix, long term pain! HH
  21. If I was fishin the Reach on Saturday, based on the wind predictions of a strong west wind, I wouldn't be launchin from the Glenora Ferry! The run from the cemment plant to the ferry would make three footers and make re-loading your boat an adventure for sure! HH
  22. I wonder how many carbon credits we as a group will need to buy, as a result of this topic coming up every week? HH
  23. Hey Raf, I believe I saw on the news that areas from about North Bay south to the GTA were at about 80% as of last weekend. They suggested that southern Ontario may be your last chance to enjoy a large number of trees still holding coloured leaves. HH
  24. McCabe has not played well since Chara tossed him around like a child's doll, a few years back in the playoffs. He's look scared to me ever since! HH
