Love The Who! Been a fan for many many years, unfortunately once Entwistle died, well, the band died for me as well! Sure, they have left a legacy of incredible ground breaking music, but they are only half of what they were and IMHO should call it quits! I hope they don't embarass themselves this weekend! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FanTQ72IqDY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4BBQMjbX3c HH

Well, for those of you who may be interested, I am now taking names and numbers for those of you who would like to rent a space, here in my corner office, high above Bay street! No problem looking down on the parade route... you should easily be able to see which Leaf requires a visit to the hair club for men! HH

The topic of sunglasses comes up here on a fairly regular basii and you will get differing opinions from everyone! They are after all, mainly a personal preference. I would suggest that you do a search on this site and you will find days of reading and just as many opinions. HH

Headhunter replied to fishhunter's topic in General Discussion

LOST ROD BAG C/W RODS AND TACKEL LAKE SIMCOE
Headhunter replied to fishhunter's topic in General Discussion
Well Lloyd, firstly, I feel for yah buddy! Loosing that stuff, which you've grown so accustomed to must be a real disappointment. That being said, I'm sure you could use one of Terry's rods as we all know he'll have no real use for more than one. Heck, he could leave tham all at home and still have the same level of success as previous years! HH -
I beleive that using a half and half Williams spoon to shave with, qualifies it as a fishing related post! Then there is always the user control option on your keyboard/mouse that allows you to not click on a thread. HH

Testicles of a Newfoundland midget hurt and ached almost all the time. The midget went to the doctor and told him about his problem.. The doctor told him to drop his pants and he would have a look. The midget dropped his pants. The doctor stood him up onto the examining table, and started to examine him. The doctor put one finger under his left testicle and told the midget to turn his head and cough, the usual method to check for a hernia. "Aha!" mumbled the doctor, and as he put his finger under the right testicle, he asked the midget to cough again. "Aha!" said the doctor once more, and reached for his surgical scissors. Snip-snip-snip-snip on the right side..........then snip-snip-snip-snip on the left side. The midget was so scared he was afraid to look, but noted with amazement that the snipping did not hurt. The doctor then told the midget to walk around the examining room to see if his testicles still hurt. The midget was absolutely delighted as he walked around and discovered his boys were no longer aching. The doctor said," How does that feel now?" The midget replied, "Perfect Doc, and I didn't even feel it. What did you do? The doctor replied "I cut two inches off the top of your rubber boots." HH

Half and half Williams! I prefer the brass side, keeps it's edge better... watch out for the side wash hooks! When the Williams isn't handy, I use what ever is on sale! HH

if it's perch you want, walk out from Gilford... start at 10-12 ft and work your way out as the day goes on... 20-25 ft by mid day. Be careful where you park there and yes... minnows are available there should you require. HH

Then I would suggest that your fisrt call be the Labour Board as that call will not cost you a dime... securing legal advice obviously will! HH

Vince, sorry I neglected to mention this earlier, but be sure to NOT sign anything unless and until you have spoken to the Labour Board or have had legal respresentation review the document. HH

Firstly, you initial post is extremely difficult to read and therefore difficult to grasp your meaning. If I understand this correctly, you were let go for what is considered a conflict of interest. Just so you know where I am coming from here and gain, I am having a difficult time understanding your initial post. If you did contact a "customer" of your employer and agreed to perform work, not through the company, than you have broken your fiduciary obligation to your employer. Regrdless of whether there is an employment contract in place or any conflict of interest clauses, you are obliged to not use your company knowledge for your own "personal" benefit. If there is nothing in writing from the woman who you helped or offered to help, that backs up your claim to a long term agreement, then again, you have broken your obligations to your employer. Did you get a package at the time of your release? They are not required to give you one if you were released for cause. My best suggestion to you would be to call the Labour Board and discuss the situation with them. Arm yourself with information which you can then, potentially use to negotiate some sort of severence package. I would also, again, after talking to the Labour Board and assuming they suggest you have a case, ensure that I got a letter of reference from this employer. Funny how the Labour Board can push employers to do things they may not want to do. Hiring a lawyer may be required eventually, but my first step would be the Labour Board. They almost always side with the employee and in many cases, it's preceived to be easier just to pay off the former employee, than it is to fight the board. Hope this helps as a starting point? If you have an offer letter, be sure you have it handy, should the Labour Board require a face to face. HH

Well Lew, I was 5 years old when they last won the cup and no, I can't remember it at all! It's pretty sad actually. HH

I mostly fish for perch through the ice and I just can't get enough of the little buggers! They are everywhere and always eager to bite. Buddy of mine also has the same problem, loves to catch perch... we are a competitive group, so for us, it's always a numbers game... sure I'd perfer to catch nothing but 12inchers, but they are hard to stay on, all day long. So we count our perch, for no other reason but bragging rights! Heck, if buddy gets too far ahead of me, I don't eat lunch! Gotta catch up! LOL I also find it invigorating to be out in the cold. There is a different vibe out on the ice, say compared to being in a boat. Alot less "crap" if you will! Can't wait till Saturday! HH

Big Cliff... I rented a cottage on Sturgeon this summer, on Long Beach Road, if I recall correctly. I was told by the owner that they had a huge Yote problem. He said that in the evening you could here them howling and sure enough, we did! He also mentioned that the farmer who lived up the road, kept Donkey's out in the field and that you could always tell when the Yotes were nearby, because the donkey's would start howling and sure enough, we heard them as well! Said the donkeys would frighten the Yotes away, which I'm sure helped him keep his chicken population in order. HH
