  1. Half and half Williams! I prefer the brass side, keeps it's edge better... watch out for the side wash hooks! When the Williams isn't handy, I use what ever is on sale! HH
  2. if it's perch you want, walk out from Gilford... start at 10-12 ft and work your way out as the day goes on... 20-25 ft by mid day. Be careful where you park there and yes... minnows are available there should you require. HH
  3. Thanks for posting that! Made my day!!!!LOL HH
  4. Tj... i have heard that Musky taste better when filleted on Granite... I don't know why, but there it is... . . . . . . . . .****sorry Lew! HH
  5. Then I would suggest that your fisrt call be the Labour Board as that call will not cost you a dime... securing legal advice obviously will! HH
  6. Vince, sorry I neglected to mention this earlier, but be sure to NOT sign anything unless and until you have spoken to the Labour Board or have had legal respresentation review the document. HH
  7. http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/75...r-old-girl?bn=1 FYI HH
  8. Firstly, you initial post is extremely difficult to read and therefore difficult to grasp your meaning. If I understand this correctly, you were let go for what is considered a conflict of interest. Just so you know where I am coming from here and gain, I am having a difficult time understanding your initial post. If you did contact a "customer" of your employer and agreed to perform work, not through the company, than you have broken your fiduciary obligation to your employer. Regrdless of whether there is an employment contract in place or any conflict of interest clauses, you are obliged to not use your company knowledge for your own "personal" benefit. If there is nothing in writing from the woman who you helped or offered to help, that backs up your claim to a long term agreement, then again, you have broken your obligations to your employer. Did you get a package at the time of your release? They are not required to give you one if you were released for cause. My best suggestion to you would be to call the Labour Board and discuss the situation with them. Arm yourself with information which you can then, potentially use to negotiate some sort of severence package. I would also, again, after talking to the Labour Board and assuming they suggest you have a case, ensure that I got a letter of reference from this employer. Funny how the Labour Board can push employers to do things they may not want to do. Hiring a lawyer may be required eventually, but my first step would be the Labour Board. They almost always side with the employee and in many cases, it's preceived to be easier just to pay off the former employee, than it is to fight the board. Hope this helps as a starting point? If you have an offer letter, be sure you have it handy, should the Labour Board require a face to face. HH
  9. Well Lew, I was 5 years old when they last won the cup and no, I can't remember it at all! It's pretty sad actually. HH
  10. Nice pics and report Wayne... sorry it didn't work as planned for Leah, but I suspect you could try again and again.... Could done without the topless shot though! HH
  11. LMAO! Thanks for the laugh Ron! HH
  12. I mostly fish for perch through the ice and I just can't get enough of the little buggers! They are everywhere and always eager to bite. Buddy of mine also has the same problem, loves to catch perch... we are a competitive group, so for us, it's always a numbers game... sure I'd perfer to catch nothing but 12inchers, but they are hard to stay on, all day long. So we count our perch, for no other reason but bragging rights! Heck, if buddy gets too far ahead of me, I don't eat lunch! Gotta catch up! LOL I also find it invigorating to be out in the cold. There is a different vibe out on the ice, say compared to being in a boat. Alot less "crap" if you will! Can't wait till Saturday! HH
  13. Big Cliff... I rented a cottage on Sturgeon this summer, on Long Beach Road, if I recall correctly. I was told by the owner that they had a huge Yote problem. He said that in the evening you could here them howling and sure enough, we did! He also mentioned that the farmer who lived up the road, kept Donkey's out in the field and that you could always tell when the Yotes were nearby, because the donkey's would start howling and sure enough, we heard them as well! Said the donkeys would frighten the Yotes away, which I'm sure helped him keep his chicken population in order. HH
  14. ^^^^^ That's why they are called fish whistles! HH
  15. LOL Bernie and Jer! HH
  16. Come on people, get it right... they are called "fish whistles"! The only thing that works faster at attracting a fish, is to start eating some food... the fish know, they really do! And Bob, I agree with you 100%! No bashin from me! HH
  17. Congrats on your success! now you have the panny bug! If your going to be fishin panny's alot, I would suggest a 4 in auger. Really easy to drill and plenty of hole for panny's! HH
  18. That's a hog Will! Nice! Gotta love Perchin and gettin out with yer Dad! Great pic to! HH
  19. Just tuggin yer rope fella! ... but we do like pics! HH
  20. That's the thing we all dream about happening... although we have a rule, no pics, no fish! HH
  21. Not my favorite band by any means, but try if you can to not speed with this blaring away in the car on the way to your favorite fishin hole! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0Y2g3zOzZM Or, I find on the way home from a long day of fishin, staying awake on the ride home can be a challenge... I have found this to be an eye opener! Hard to fall asleep when you're laughing! HH
  22. Hope ya had a great one Bernie! HH
  23. I think you are dead on Peter! That's what I will tell my son, when and if we have to have that conversation. Funny, but the word "fair" disappears very quickly, once the first punch is thrown! HH
  24. Glad you got it solved Doc! The moral of the story here seems to be... always go to the top when you have an issue with a store. You need to speak with a decision maker, not someone who is not empowered to make a decision. HH
  25. Well Wayne, for one reason is that a pair of power maggots will last me the whole day! The only way I have had them come off the hook, is when I was removing the hook and my pliers grabbed the power maggot. Also, I'm really not into real maggots and have no intention of keeping a few in my mouth, to stop them from freezing! I know for a fact that many pan fish guys do that! And shrimp are far too tasty to waste on a perch! HH
