  1. 4.6 engine = cracked exhaust manifold - driver side.
  2. Ding ding ding ding.......we have a winner I would have to agree with this one Wil. Even though you changed the fuel filter, be sure to check your fuel lines and make sure they are rated for ethanol. The fuels lines will appear OK on the outside but they deteriorate on the inside and eventually collapse.
  3. Stacey has a HUGE selection in stock now. Prices are good too.
  4. Ask Dave Mercer about those minnow buckets. I believe they are for multi uses as well.
  5. The bottom pic tells me it is for a temp sensor or oil reservoir.
  6. The weekend of the 20th works for me. The weekend before is closer on the Kawarthas for walleye and I wouldn't miss that for the world.
  7. HOLY CRAP! The pair of ya's got hitched eh! Life as you guys know it, will never be the same. It will only get better! I raise my glass to you both! Cheers, Ron...

    RIP Sly.

It is always terrible news to hear when a fellow angler passes away. I'm sure Shane is now into the trophies of Perch, Lakers and Whitiefish, all day long. Rest in peace dear friend, rest in peace.
  9. Was out on the weekend, water temps are in the mid 60's. Managed to put a half dozen walleyes in the boat. They are just starting to put the feed bag on in my opinion. Cheers, Ron...
  10. Not sure on their phone number but if it is lodging you are looking for, you can't beat this price anywhere on Rice Lake! Ridge view cottages is offering accommodations at 25.00 per person per night. They would prefer a 2 night minimum though. Here is their website and email address: http://www.ridgeviewcottages.ca/ [email protected]
  11. Obviously these guys have been taking pointers from the Barrie Police Dept.
  12. Whatda mean you are making changes in your plans. Sigh...... I'm always the last one to know......
  13. Angler Young Angler International Championship Article written by Gord Pyzer Very very good read.
  14. The weird part is Jay, I didn't notice your truck there and I was looking for it. And we all know what happens when you go fishing in my boat!

    We're back

Fishing???? I was, in a way, glad the site went down. Got into some well over due Baileys, Seizures and sleep. Five minutes after that my dear wife tells me that our daughter Steph has her first Barrel race since she broke her leg back in June. She did great being back in the saddle again! (Just kidding about Seizures and sleep). Cheers, Ron...
  16. You would be best to check out their web site or contact them directly. I can only but assume they have both. Guiding is like selling your SOUL! But if a person in particular shows up, I'd be more than happy to take you out for a couple 4 hours! Cheers, Ron...
  17. I asked for permission from the owners of this resort to post this here on OFC. I am certain there would be more than a few interested on this deal! Make sure you ask for the "Fall Special" when you call or email. Forgot to mention that Thanksgiving weekend is the exception, as well as their Derby weekend. Looks like they may have some ice hut rentals for the winter as well! Here is their website and email address: http://www.ridgeviewcottages.ca/ [email protected] Cheers, Ron... Hey Everyone, Need a short vacation? Love to catch the big ones on Rice Lake in the fall? Come to Ridgeview Cottages in Roseneath and enjoy the quiet life, and fish the days away. We are offering a fall special price of $25/night/person. So a couple can come for $50 per night or $100 for 2 nights. We do request a 2 night minimum for this special. This applies to ANY cottage including our luxury 4 bedroom. Great for fisherfolk, families or large groups celebrating a special event. This special runs from after Labour Day (starts Tuesday September 7th) until closing. This year, as we have a longer bass and muskie season, we may be able to stay open until December 15th, then watch for our Ice Fishing Specials coming up this winter. We hope to see you here at Ridgeview and have a GREAT LABOUR DAY WEEKEND. Dan and Anu Andrews
  18. Here's an idea, How about you form a club, raise money towards a project of sorts. It could be side road garbage clean up for that matter. There has been many volunteer time spent on this project, a lot of money raised by volunteer clubs and then you have people dissing the very chance of something being productive and benificial to the fishing community. I am going to take a stab at this and say you don't want the Atlantic Salmon Project to succeed either. Cheers, Ron...

Don't waste your money on anything else, go "Pro Qualifier" from BPS.
  20. Sorry bud, I'll be running a little late. I hope to leave here Tuesday night after work and with any luck I'll be at the launch ramp on time for blast off on Saturday. Actually, I'll be going to Nipigon for the weekend.
  21. Happy Birthday Big Chief of Nippissing!
  22. I'm not fussy, I'll fish with anyone's wife. Just ask her! (I'm kidding!)
  23. No no no Terry, it's not "their" lake, it's "MY" lake!
  24. Well it pleases me to see that the RLTA have had a change of heart towards the thought of having a year round fishing season on "MY" lake! It seems as though they are going to have a fishing derby run similar to that of "The Orillia Perch Festival". This is a good thing and hopefully they will be able to promote this event in order to gain back their respect on this web site. There is still some much needed information to inquire about sponsorship but I am willing to put up a $500.00 tagged fish provided Sunshine Cove, (who now runs and ad on this forum even though she still has a poll wanting to stop ice fishing on her main page), removes her poll and also puts her money where her mouth is. After all, I won't have anything to gain by donating a prize whereas all of the RLTA will have everything to gain. I hope this festival goes well for them and am in full support of it. I would encourage all anglers who fish Rice Lake and book vacations there to support those that have donated their time and money. Mike Ferguson and I have spoken many times since the initial confrontations in regards to ice fishing and now with the first season behind us, it has proven to be beneficial in many ways from the tourism aspect to family entertainment. Suzie Sunshine though, still does not want other resorts to benifit because she "Quite frankly, doesn't want to be open all year round" Here is the link to the derby= Rice Lake Spring Fishing Festival I hope all of you participate and would like to see the look on an OFC member's face taking a cool $500.00 out of my pocket! Cheers, Ron...
