  1. Nipfisher- I'm gonna guess they will keep them rotationally open for a while.
  2. Here is a photo I took of the Friends of Temagami map on my wall
  3. anglers atlas has a topo map online. Little Marten is on the north side of Marten Lake rd (it's really the river part), and Big Marten is on the south side of the road. Not much info on Bruce of McPhee... you can get a fantastic area map at the Rock Pine Restaurant in Marten River, or go online and check out the "friends of temagami" website for the Ultimate Map, it's a really good wall map, but it's huge. You can get it a Lefevres in North Bay. Both those updated maps have trails, camp sites etc etc
  4. There is not a lot of literature cited in the references. Seems like a quick conclusion, maybe more science is needed?.... still, as Brad said, as long as whirligig and whitepine are kept as sanctuaries I'm not overly alarmed at the change in status. I'd better get into Liberty in two years before they all die. It was more exciting knowing they were genetically different.
  5. Great story haha. Congrats on the laker...you have few pounds more lake trout than I have this year
  6. Great photo of the sun split! Nick, that guy is everywhere haha.
  7. Jazz She's cute, but man is she ever dumb.
  8. Thanks again all. My truck has been my best fishing buddy for the past two years. During winter, I keep on average two under-slot fish per week which equals two walleye meals for the wife and I. We need no more and wouldn't want any less. Only one week left on Nipissing for this winter!
  9. it seems to show all the information on my BB, but due to the crappy browser on my phone, it doesn't navigate very nicely. I'd say it's more of a BB problem than a Nomap issue.
  10. Nice browny! Something I'll never catch up here.
  11. Actually caught it with the rod you see in the pic...just a small northland ice rod...it's sitting in my holder in the photo. Was using a Dartees spoon and minnow tipper. I was thinking the same thing. When this girl bit, there must have been a school of big ones cruising around because I had three in a row slam my lure and I played them too quick and lost them, definitly wasn't the same fish everytime because I had them right up to the ice before they slipped off. I was sure it was a bunch of greasy ling haha. Thanks! Anything over the slot goes back down the hole for me. My frying pan isn't big enough for such a big filet haha.
  12. sometimes... it was very mild tonight, so I went free hand.
  13. thanks for the kudos guys!! I put her back down the hole to bite another minnow!
  14. Only two fish caught tonight on Nipissing , which is really odd. Missed three big fish in a row, then finally landed this one. 8.5lbs on scale , estimating 27.5 to 28"
  15. your right, it doesn't show camping spots... I must have been thinking about one of my wall maps. Shows all the other things I mentioned however.
  16. I'll say commercial jet. Is that a new moon on the far right side?
  17. Get an old 6" finbore off kijiji and I'll send you a set of new blades! My friend got an old unit for $10 and it cuts like butter with the new blades!
  18. I noticed that today too! Great news!
  19. That Lake Superior Walleye is a beauty! Do I see burbot/bullheads in your pile of panfish? Great report, thanks!
  20. April trip to manitoulin. Maybe an ice-out speckled trout trip, alg park or somewhere near home deep in bush. Walleye opener on some back lake near home. Ottawa river camping/canoeing trip mid summer. Many other various trips with the canoe this summer. Who knows where I'll go.
