  1. I agree with this, well said....however ONLY using responsible anglers, not someone who will publish the spot at the drop of a new decal.
  2. No, that wouldn't feel right. Plus, no one on tv is my hero.
  3. Great resource. There is some information on that map that isn't found on FishOnline... who knew I could target Round Whitefish near North Bay?
  4. I'm not claiming to be a pro at anything, but I have many slow or skunky days even after years of ice fishing... Sometimes fishing is about more than just catching, and exploring is half the fun! you guys now have a pike spot to go back to. Thx for the report.
  5. Send me a PM and I'll give you more info. It's related to the insurance industry. "We have an immediate career opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assume the role of Administrative Assistant in a fast-paced team environment. Our ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts; be customer focused, and have superior organizational and time management skills. You will have strong administrative skills to support a team of adjusters and be able to work with minimal supervision, and have proven computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office. Experience in the insurance industry would be a definte asset."
  6. Cool!still, it must have been fun busting through all that fresh powder! Nice lakers
  7. Ya, took two days for that thing to thaw out hahaha. Glad you made it back without taking too many road-naps Good question. Very likely fishing (barring call outs from work). You thinking of making the trip north? You must have some good spots on this lake as well...or maybe just in summer? Let's catch some walleye!
  8. We stayed where we were...rigth on that ledge.
  9. Welcome! Great trip and I hope to read about more of then like that.
  10. No problem Jer! Always a pleasure to have good company, especially from someone who enjoys fishing and being outdoors as much as us loonies. Hopefully we can do a canoe/kayak trip this summer as we discussed. as for the last comment " you buy feesh?" haha.
  11. It was a great weekend guys! You and Jason and Jeremy are tough characters to say the least; driving all that way, depriving yourself of sleep and freezing your butts off! As soon as you guys left, the bite picked up and we got into some ling, herring, walleye, pike and perch. Murphy's law I tell you. Things died down again until 5, then all walleye-hell broke loose. We iced at least 30 walleye in the group by the end of the day. How was captain-crunch coated walleye?? hahahahaha That meal tonight looked fantastic. Cajun walleye and ribs would make one hell of a special at a steakhouse. Here are my pics. Jeremy bringing in a ling Sarah with a good 7 or 8 pound ling. Boy was she happy with this catch!!! Good job! Joey with a 19" walleye....biggest one of the weekend Friend with one of many walleye Jeremy immitating -40 fishing haha.
  12. hahaha
  13. Beautiful day!!!! Looking forward to two days of Nipissing goodness

  14. Beautiful day!!!! Looking forward to two days on Nipissing goodness

  15. Very tough times. Best wishes from my corner.
  16. great as usual!
  17. Damn, that was gonna be my comment haha. Great show out there Bill and Dave.
  18. Whitefish baked at 375 degrees with olive oil, pepper and lots of rosemary. Absolutely delicious!
  19. Exactly my thoughts. For sure like cucumber
  20. You get yours on Nipissing as well? How deep? I'll likely bake it with very basic spices, or I'll do a light breading and bake it. I found it quite easy to clean but yes, it did make a bit of a mess, lots of slime and blood. The wife just found a huge blood stain on the top of the paper towel roll. Lets just say it didn't make her morning haha.
  21. how many inches was that big one?
  22. Sure, I'll just pack them with ice and....Hey! wait a minute I know, I didn't expect to catch a whitefish that's for sure. At first I thought I had a world record herring!
  23. They cut the branches to avoid them from falling on people??? hahaha, next they'll be moving all the stones so Oakvillers don't trip on them. Wouldn't giving everyone a helmet be cheaper?
  24. I got two great looking filets off Mr.Whitie. Anybody have good suggestions for cooking whitefish? I was thinking of baking in butter with a some butter, dill and pepper...or something like that.
  25. Like Jet said, sounds like something is bent. The new blades should cut like new, with no maintenance required.
