  1. I'd vote for that in a second...I tried but I dont' have facebook. Sry
  2. Agreed, brutal hit indeed. I would not be proud to have him as an assistant captain. What a doofus.
  3. Great report...I'm glad you caught you first laker on the ice. Cheers
  4. Great season Joey! Enjoy your fish snacks from this winter... I'll be doing the same
  5. I was speaking to someone in a cafe and they told me they are looking (desperately) for junior engineers for a nickel smelting plant in Newfoundland. They are a large engineering firm and pay handsomely.... The mine manager called me and left me a contact number. Starting pay is 140 000/yr. ! PM me and I can hook you up.
  6. 5 lbs laker any musky a few Rainbows from manitoulin or elsewhere a randsoms worth of smelt and I expect to catch many walleye and brookies.!
  7. Lake Nipissing was very giving to me this year, providing a pile of perch for the freezer, plenty of snack size walleye and a few fat-mothers that swam back to spawn their little hearts out. I've seen more ling this year than ever, which is cool because I made a point of keeping some for table fare....it's always nice to target low-pressure species; poor man's lobster anyone? Lakers are now on my mind... I'll give it a few more shots if the ice holds up, but my streak of 0 for at least 25 for lakers is both punishing and embarassing. Some people say practice makes perfect, but I'm beginning to have more confidence in blind luck Early feed of perch Night fishing for ling First 5-ish pounder of the season-24 inches Can you guess who this is, it's not the Jackalope. Pike bait Big ling of the season Table fare! Jim Jigger with a laker from Temagami Big girl...down the hole she went More taster samples. Big perch of the season nosobonsing beauty Another big ling I'll leave you with a pretty sight
  8. good recap... very inspiring
  9. That sunrise photo is matched only by the three fish combo shot.
  10. Crazy story... nobody was seriously hurt. wow.
  11. The ling are biting furiously on Nipissing. Here is the stomach content of one from last night.
  12. 'Tis no whitie... It's hard to convince yourself to keep them isn't it?
  13. What a humpback! Smells like success to me.
  14. Great stuff. The ultimate ice breaker.
  15. yesterday I could fish 12-6. Today I`ll fish 12-7. Thank you for the extra hour
  16. Nothing great at CT North Bay... a few decent sales here and there, but no sweeping 40% off. I suppose they change out their winter products later in the season up north. They just renovated the inside of the store again, seems like every year they change the view from inside.
  17. Nice full report! That's quite a few fish over those days. Well done. I like the night time snow fall pic.
  18. as the others said...VERY nice piece
  19. Goldstein has his moments.... His show is silly but genius at the same time. Edit: ...it's still better than the corporate, cookie cutter, obnoxious junk on FM.
  20. What is that first fish? A rainbow? It's really long and thin Nice season Miller... thosepike are beauties.
  21. Right on!
  22. Look at the head on that thing!
  23. with satelite radio, I listen to less CBC than I did before but it's the only FM channel I listen to. Vinyl Cafe, Vinyl Tap, This is That, Wiretap, Debators, Quirks and quarks and others...all fantastic, intelligent shows. It's MUCH easier to ignore the Bull on CBC than it is to ignore the obnoxious crap on other commercial stations...as Dr. S eluded to.
  24. good bump. hahaha. I'll fill it in. Edit: complete
  25. I was thinking the same thing! that's all concrete. I'd fall and die within three steps.
