  1. Dan I was one of them two years ago that was concerned about ice out in the Red Lake area the day before walleye opener We were held up in town for four hours before flying out to a still half frozen Little Vermillion, ice wasn't completely off the lake until the following Tuesday. It was my first experience that far north at ice out and it was awesome, we weren't in tshirts thought
  2. Same thing happened last year on the southwest portion of the lake, only to a lot of people If it happens again down this way they'll charge you for the rescue
  3. LOL Wayne He is entertaining though
  4. Don't know that he really listen to ya in the first place I hope you are doing well
  5. If it was me and I bought 18 units I believe a call to the rep would be in order before I bought another Hey but that just me
  6. Happy Birthday Joe
  7. Well all I can say is you haven't gotten any better looking Good to see your out and about, have you moved yet?
  8. Exactly I agree As far as the state of Rice Lake in particular I have a couple friends that have been going there long before I even heard of the place and they made three trips this past year, they are bass anglers and they said except for the smallmouth the catching was as good as it has been in quite a few years, they were happy. One of them even made the comment how many walleyes he caught this year not targeting them.
  9. Thanks for that comment Not going to open a can of worms here but I have visited Rice Lake for over thirty-five years let alone a few other places in Ontario, met thousands of people and not one time have I ever heard of a person from the states coming up to harvest fish to sell here, not going to say it has never happened but I never heard of it before. Now I'll tell ya what I have witnessed, locals to cheap to rent a boat from a resort for the day and will pay a "minimal fee" to park their car and some dock space to catch buckets of panfish, some not more than a couple inches long, I say nothing until they feel free to jump on the deck on my moored boat to do what ever. Again the biggest reasons Rick posted above is what are keeping people from coming up to your fine country.
  10. Yep not all people are bass pros, walleye hunters or muskie freaks. Alot of families travel to Rice because of the pan fishing. The die hards will still come, the new limit won't stop them, it's enough A lot of people come from Ohio to fish Rice and mostly because of rising cost and job losses they won't be able to return
  11. I was really hoping before the game starting that USA men wouldn't look past this game Just glad they came ready to play
  12.
  13. I found it very entertaining, Canadians should be proud
  14. Well done Chris
  15. Your recovery must be coming along good. Excellent display of talent
  16. I'll try to answer your questions. #1 Most residential panels the circuit breakers are only good for 80% of their actual rating, so with that being said your 15amp breaker is only good for 12 amps of continuous use. #2 #14 gauge wire is only good for 15amps and should not be installed on a 20amp breaker. #3 I know your in Canada but in the US National Electric Code does not allow to run type NMB cable (romex) to be run surface on drywall inside of your garage, it has to be protected. #4 It is highly unlikely that if you want to replace the existing wire to the garage and use it as a pull string if it was installed correctly in the first place. If you want to have the proper installation of your new central vac system and not worry about what to use and when have a dedicated circuit installed as per instructions.
  17. timmeh I personally have never fished that particular area and if your time is limited you may want to concentrate on fishing from pay piers or do a head boat. If your going to shore fish (surf) you'll have to buy a license and if you going inland to fish for bass that's a different license or at least that the way it was the last time I was in Florida 3 years ago. If you do the pier deal a license is not required and they'll steer you in the right direction to catch a few fish. Good Luck
  18. I hope the BBB up there is better than it is down here, they are pretty much useless as far as I'm concerned. They protect their members even when one of them have done something wrong. Good to see ya get your treat
  19. Who da thunk it, you being the rum pucker ya are. I would have thought you were a high test man I have a Timmies and Starbucks just minutes from my house and never been to either place. I make most of what I drink except for the first cup (.79) every morning just to get me to work. I do however drink a ton of coffee, two 12 cup pots a day. Never did get the Timmies/Starbuck thing let alone pay those prices. Not saying I've never been to a Timmies before because if Deg is with me with can't pass one
  20. That's a bummer I know to well about a shoulder issue, hope your works out better than mine. Be well!
  21. Great to hear good news Merry Christmas Dan
  22. You probably could have used one today
  23. This is exactly the way it was explained to me, absolutely no open containers period unless you can comply with the full living facilities You would be hard pressed to get away with that now Wayne A lot has changed since you were a kid
  24. Sorry to hear this, never was able to attend the event but I always enjoyed participating on the donation side.
  25. They are making ice for their water bottles they store on top of the net. Not going to tell you what's in there
