  1. Billy Bob Just a suggestion, have your son call people that are trade sensitive for home inspections, plumbers, electricians, HVAC and Structural/Roof ect. IMHO No one guy is qualified to do a whole house inspection and give a fair assessment. Even Mike Holmes brings in the experts
  2. LOL May 2009 I tried to keep count and quit after the first two hours of the first day, it was unreal. Grubs weren't even needed Can't get here soon enough for me, I'll be armed and ready for battle. The fish will probably win
  3. Billy Bob I have a 1900SQ ft two story house, gas heat, gas hot water, 3ton 16SER AC unit, electric range, electric dryer along with all the bells and whistles of a modern home and I have a 100amp service. Been at my current location for over 23years and never had a problem period. Besides everything in my house I have three 20amp 120volt dedicated circuits just for Christmas lights (I tend to get carried away )and just for kicks a few years back during the holidays while the wife was cooking Christmas dinner, the dryer going, most of the lights on, a couple of TV's going and all my Christmas lights on I put an amp meter on my incoming service and I was drawing less than 70amp a leg. So unless the house your son is looking at has electric heat he should be golden. As you said with minimal info you have this is my best guess. If Insurance companies wouldn't insure homes with 100amp services most of the homes in my area would not be insured. RETodd is correct about the two prong plugs, as long as they have not be altered to grounded outlets the home inspector shouldn't say anything about them. Take a look around your house to see exactly how many things are plugged in that have three wire (grounded) cords
  4. Not true 100amp service is probably big enough, but it all depends what's in it.
  5. Happy Birthday bud
  6. Not true Lew, locally it went up .24 a gallon over night. I hope that makes ya feel better Misty probably figures he getting a deal right about now
  7. Just curious Phil, who should I have sent the bill for a new prop?, the bad part about it I knew they were there. I chalked it up to my own stupidy So I guess Canadians don't sue anyone for any thing eh ? Just for the record I think this guy or his insurance company is fishing. Nobody in their right mine would have a boat like that that didn't had insurance to cover such, unless they could afford to right it off.
  8. LOL Joey Kind of the way it goes at my house....well sort of Good luck finding some fishing partners Wayne
  9. I cried uncle a month ago Yep, I've had enough
  10. I'll have to keep that in mind the next trip up, I have a hard time saying no when people find out what I can do Price sounds reasonable to me
  11. Good thread, I've had the pleasure of fishing with or along side of a bunch of people here. Become good friends with a few folks that I have spent vacation time/fishing trips with. The first person I met was Maureen at Lakair after driving all night for the G2G, it was about 4:30am and I was sitting dockside drinking a beer, Lew was the second and Wayne put me up that weekend. I've spent a few trips with mistyriver and his family, always a great time. TennesseeGuy has put up with me for weeks at a time, I share his love for NWO DanC, although I have never met personally (hopefully we can change that one day)he helped me out of a jamb one summer while I was in his neck of the woods Paul if your up for it let's do it again this summer, I'll get Don on board I agree Lew, I have yet to meet anyone here that I wouldn't invite into my home....well maybe not JP, don't think I keep enough beer in the frig One of these days Andy There's a few more here I would like to fish with, one never knows where I'll pop up

  22. Sad new indeed Locally here on New Year's day a women sheriff lost her life by a gun shot to he head while on duty, the funeral was held at a church that held over 3000 people and they still didn't have enough room.
