  1. Paul's a good man. Help anyone and never ask anything in return.
  2. ever play rugby? Hurts but never stopped me. Sure they feel something - every nervous system responds to stimuli. Does it hurt? Not enough to cause harm
  3. Those first few years with kids change the focus for sure. Takes a few years, but then one day you wake up and , hey, they are just as pumped as you for the outings. Sounds like a great trip you have lined up there . We aren't heading out this weekend , but next week is the last week of school. For the last 3 years I have made it a special trip with G. I take the day off and we spend the weekend together celebrating the beginning of summer. The first year, a day on lake O together; last year we did our first "lodge weekend"; headed up to Horizon's North and had some decent success. This year we are doing a camping trip. Hitting Wheatley and spending the weekend looking for 'eyes (and whatever else wants to play) down Leamington way. Bring on the summer time!!
  4. NIce 'specs - to have them in your backyard..... Great shot of you and Abby! Way to go
  5. 4 days straight of East winds for Lake O. Guess I know where not to go this weekend. :(

Hey Simon - Need any deliveries? Gas, beer, bait :)LOL

  6. Yeah, he was just circling them and feinting and climbing trees so he could get better look at the camera. I gotta charge out of the "pause work out" line too. Beat his heart beat meter was off the scale.
  7. along with a lot of roofs, trees, and at least one truck. This place has better weather coverage than the weathernetwork. hope everyone is OK - I was in one in Carnarvon a half dozen years ago. Incredible what 90 seconds of wind and water can do.
  8. http://cottagelife.com/92156/environment/wildlife/terrified-joggers-pursued-by-a-relentless-black-bear The guy sure can run after all that adrenaline! Left dad behind, too
  9. Do yourself a favour - spend about 18 bucks and find out what the stats show from someone who has nothing to gain from the reports. http://www.amazon.ca/Lemon-Aid-Used-Cars-Trucks-1990-2015/dp/1459719409 gives resale, tsb's known problems, real mileages
  10. Wow - would love a shot at some of those. Very nice.
  11. Thanks Terry - that's pretty much what I had in mind. Just wondered if anyone had done it before. I figure the ducer will have to be removable
  12. Actually, I will with the kicker depending on the water and the winds. On longer trips (like a week away), or windy days I will use the kicker so as to not drain the tm battery down. Heading to Nipigon again this year, and for sure I will be trolling in the bays with the kicker due to the size of the water - one casting up front, one casting off the stern. Be nice to see where to direct the casts, and some of those prop busting rocks that sit all alone, surrounded by 12 fow.. Its also great for adjusting your riggers if you see whats up ahead. By the time the stern ducer tells you this fish is at 50 and your at 80, its too late. Thanks for the pics bill - gives me some ideas. Maybe these guys will make a V shaped mount? http://www.sternsaver.com/
  13. Now that looks cool..... thanks.
  14. Hmm, guess my dreams of finding an angling Dyson who had come up with a V shaped bracket that had 0 interference with the hull, held the 'ducer in place and could be applied with silicon wont become a reality just yet then? ... oh well, thought I'd try. Thanks Dax - if all else fails sounds like that may be the best solution. Trolling in the big water with the trolling motor down should be an interesting experience if we have some of those big rollers going on Unless Dyson is out there lurking still that is ??
  15. Well, gee that was helpful.
  16. That would be the one Roy - sorry, spent an hour researching on the 'net and got kinda zoned in on the topic. Looking for alternative methods for mounting the transducer other than on the trolling motor. This place is full of pretty inventive people that seem to come up with solutions for just this kind of challenge.
  17. Looking at adding a fish finder to the bow. I do have a trolling motor, but really this wont be used in many of my applications, and if possible I prefer not to have it on the water all the time (like for instance trolling with the kicker). Any ideas or thoughts, experiences others have had with this? Boat is deep V aluminum. Thanks
  18. congrats on the PB. Man, sometimes its a bummer TO is in between me and all those nice bodies of water.
  19. Good luck - hopefully the rains give you a break!
  20. Looks like an awesome present and a great time! Thanks for putting the report together.
  21. When are idiots targetting bass in season?

  22. hmm I would think somewhere between uncomfortable and wet might be descriptive. Of course, you might also be uncomfortably wet?. But My experience on E is somewhat limited. 15 K on O was my comfort zone for solo fishing in the 16 foot dual console.
  23. I think it was all those positive reviews on BPS you did
  24. very slick. I had the same thought as Dave about the holes ? So which one is the drink holder? Or is that on the other side?
  25. a couple decent fishies , well done.. real nice brownie. The South shore is still slow this year, you guys did pretty well. Thanks for the report. Hopefully this weeks warmer weather will start bringing the kings into play soon
