  1. Last time I did one I took it apart at the primer bulb & tank fitting then inserted a new length of hose using simple gear clamps. Hose & clamps were bought at my local Home hardware and it took me almost a whole 1/2 hour to do the job - meaning quick and easy. I wrapped a bit of electrical tape around the clamps afterwards just to cover up the bit that sticks out after torquing them up and checking for no leaks. Michael
  2. And a whole lot easier to fix if there is an issue... Michael
  3. I was wondering that too Ronzo, along with possibly the tank itself needing either flushed or even replaced if it hasn't been flushed properly in the past. If the cold volume & presssure are both good I'd be looking for a restriction on the hot somewhere - could even be in the faucet/mixing valve or a pinched line. Michael
  4. Yeah mine are a bit more - gotta check with them to see if the 8 pack for 39.00 (still real cheap!) has the new chips or not - otherwise I'm looking at a bit more, but still bunches less than OEM. I'd probably go with just one set on a first order just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the info! Michael
  5. Just did a search there for my ink and agree the price is very good. Noticed they offer cartridges either with or without "new chips". I'd be leaning toward the "new chip" ones for my HP Photosmart. Wondering what you ordered for, what you bought and how it worked out for the customs & USPS charges. Thanks! Michael
  6. Guess I should've mentioned mine is reloadable thru my bank account so I can keep the balance exactly where I want it to be. No user fees beyond the 7.00 per year although it does count as an item when I transfer money onto to it from chequing, but I get something like 10 items free each month so that doesn't really bother me. I can do all that from my computer without having to go out and purchase one of the other ones - just something I find a lot more convenient. AND because it's issued from a bank I deal with I have full cardholder protection just like a regular credit card, not sure how even the prepaid VISA ones handle that, but it's something I don't have to consider an additional worry. While I don't order as much now, since I started using this method a few years back (when I was still operating) I haven't had even one problem other than a short shipped item which was immediately credited back to the card once I notified the vendor. Michael
  7. Just curious - was it the first offence for him? Heard he'd been around the block a few times before. Michael
  8. Internet ordering can be both a headache and a pleasant cost saving experience if you do your homework. For something like 7.00 per year I have a prepaid BMO mastercard I use just for this purpose. IF there were to be any problems it's only good for the balance i put on it and no more than that. Plus if I have any issues the usual card holder's protection applies. But to feel a bit more secure about who or what I may be ordering from I try and find independent site reviews on the product and the seller. If the seller's site only shows POSITIVE reviews I'm usually a little more leery than if there were at least some "lesser" reviews. When it's something I may want to order frequently I'll try a small initial order if it's practical to do (not always) before I pull the trigger and go nuts. As for ordering from CA and shipping from GA - that could be a good sign if you think about it, multiple locations means better established business and larger available inventory to draw on. Then there's always the option to ask for input from members on sites like this...someone somewhere might just have done whatever you're thinking of and has specific experience to relate to you - I see it all the time on here! Watch out for shipping and border clearance (customs) charges - especially with UPS and FEDEX, always go with USPS when you can. Canada Post charges 9.95 for customs clearance and collects the HST on any items it clears. I've heard horror stories on here about customs costing over 100.00, plus HST plus shipping, often exceeding the value of the item! Michael
  9. Nope! didn't giggle it at all - think it was when he was waiting for the bus...at least it would have showed up if he hadn't started running again! Michael
  10. There was something similar in Forrest Gump - think it was just "one less thing" as I recall. Michael
  11. Cinched up my black belt in shopping and headed to the Orillia Target, arriving about 1/2 hour after opening (just in case there were lineups). In one door with an empty cart and out the other with the same, spent maybe 10-15 minutes MAX strolling through without running into ANY "traffic" jams. Big banner sign hanging up saying 30% off with "some" exclusions- here's what I saw Food, electronics & paper was 10% off Clothes, housewares & dvd's 20% off Cosmetics 30% off (saw that from the food section - no wisecracks thanks!). In short, most (vast majority) items were a mere 10-20% off and to me that wasn't that big of a deal, if anything that just brought prices down to where I expect them to be. I just didn't see anything that made me want to buy. Parking lot was full for the first time I'd ever seen, store was about as busy as a Walmart on Tuesdays. Most people were, like me, pushing empty or near empty carts. Almost every cash register was open with maybe 1 or 2 customers in line at most. All the staff were very friendly from what I observed, even the tiny little (teen?) lady wearing a safety vest saying she was "Security) at the exit door. Hope she didn't get blown away in the draft caused by all those leaving empty handed like myself. I'd have to say that was the busiest I'd ever seen that store, and yet there really wasn't that much merchandise actually being moved compared to the number of people shopping. I wonder how long it'll be before they increase the discounts, hope it doesn't take them 2 years to figure that one out as well! Michael
  12. Think he paid with a 5.00 bill - dang that is high quality video! Michael
  13. I've seen 2 or 3 like that Cliff - any description of the hut? Might help me recall it too... Michael
  14. No innuendo intended on that ad.... Michael
  15. Replied. Michael
  16. Is the rear slider not adjustable? Usually a simple screw adjusts the wheels to lift them up/down a bit, keeping them more in contact with top channel and bottom rail. Unless your front door frame and door are completely rotten a 40.00 weatherstripping kit should fix that issue. PM if you'd like to talk a bit more. Michael
  17. Double check that cav plate height - you said 1 inch above transom - think it's supposed to be below, mention it to them when you are checking into prop recommendations. Michael
  18. Davenport in Orillia - been around forever so he must be doing something right, never had one myself so I don't have first hand knowledge. Michael
  19. It's a joke - think of the episode of MASH when Col. Potter gets black rings around his eyes because someone put shoe polish on his binoculars.... Michael
  20. You don't indicate whether it's tiller or remote controls - if remote single stick it may be just a minor cable adjustment or loose connection on the shifter cable. Pop the cowl and move the lever back & forth to see the action of throttle and shift, shift should occur before the throttle advances (make sure the fast idle lever is all the way down on the remote). Look for the shift cable not being seated right and/or try a bit of adjustment on the threaded portion (might have to unclip it and remove it to adjust). Also check the lower unit gear oil - see if it's really dirty (ie ground up gears) but I'd think that would really show in performance when in gear as well. IF none of that helps get it back to the mechanic that did the lower unit - could be an issue in there as well. Michael
  21. Supply & demand - 5lb have always been comparatively MORE than 20lb - they make & sell a gazillion times more 20 lb than they do 5lb. That's IF you can find them, not a whole lot of availability which is why many people refill the 1lb ones - and that's a whole other discussion that's been hashed out many times. Michael
  22. Actually saw an adult moose on the south side of 12 between Uptergrove & the Ramara Community Ctr a few years back - OPP were there keeping the traffic moving and people away. It was also in the morning - just after 7. Heard later that the moose stood in about the same spot till about noon. Michael
  23. Good ta see ya can still hammer away at the keyboard Skip! Michael
  24. Hey Brian... By any chance was that your 'toon I was seeing on the west side up here in the last couple days? Michael
