  1. Wow - awesome reading here! Thanx for the tutorial.
  2. If it is the bracket that the poles attach to any welding / fabricating shop can make you one. If you lived nearby, I could weld one for you.
  3. Thanx for the replies guys. Lottsa good info here. That's why I wanted to ask the pros. Yes, I did think of a used sled. Definitely an option. Trax are around 3500. Lottsa sleds available for much less money as Brock pointed out.
  4. With all the recent snow/slush on Simcoe my atv isn't going to do the job. I have a 2012 Polaris 500, I'm considering install tracks on it. Is my atv powerful enough to handle tracks? Does anyone here have an atv with tracks? I'd love to hear your comments. Thanx
  5. I have an older Garmin 72, but, still carry a hand held compass as a back up.
  6. I recently purchased an '08 Ford King Ranch with a 5.4 L V8. This truck is awesome. A little heavy on the gas but you also have to consider the vehicle you are driving. On a recent trip to Shining Tree I averaged 15 L/100 Km. I was towing a 14' Lund with a 30hp Suzuki, Polaris atv in the truck box, lottsa gear. I was OK with the gas mileage, plus launching the boat on sandy, gravel ramps at no time was I concerned to get the boat out. If I had taken my Uplander van on this trip - yes I would have saved some $$$ on gas - would I feel comfortable at the ramp - NO!!
  7. Thanx Sinker I did install the runners. I do see Drifter's point where damage can occur to the front of the sled.
  8. Awesome chainsaw! If you were to cut 16" lengths of a log that size - who is going to lift it onto the splitter??
  9. Awesome Drifter - Thanx for the pix. I have a brand new clam - never used it yet. I will be purchasing some aluminum today & installing it ASAP.
  10. It was nice fishing with you again Alex. Marc & I gave it agood effort but couldn't get the wallys to cooperate.
  11. Awesome fish! Thanx for the photos. Now I'm pumped!
  12. Mike - That sounds like a sick puppy on the phone.
  13. Newf - that's too bad about the split of those huge limbs. Looks like a crane & bucket job to me.
  14. That's a great offer for someone in need. You're a good guy Cliff! I considered purchasing one prior to the storm but held off. Luckily we were without power for only 3 hours here in Fonthill (Niagara). Lottsa branches to clean up though.
  15. Good on ya! Awesome pic of your little guy! He'll be joining you on the ice real soon. Merry Christmas to you & your family Nick.
  16. You had me fooled - I was looking for a rainbow in the sky! Nice herd of fish! Good on ya.
  17. Nice fish. Very dark. The eyes we get in Erie are much lighter colored. Go north of your home they're even darker almost black. Near Timmins.
  18. Nice colors, sure has an ugly face! That guys hands are 4" across x 2 = 8". Still lottsa fish to the left & right of his hands, then a large piece between his hands. I'm guessing 26"
  19. I'm in Fonthill (Niagara), 2:30 am - pouring rain, ice forming on the trees, truck & van. Doesn't look good! Have internet Woo Hoo!
  20. Good on ya! You are in God's country!
  21. Way to go Ugly! My family is Slovak. Gramma used to bake poppy seed cakes & walnut bread. I purchased some in Windsor last week at the local market. Almost as good as gramma's. Pulla looks awesome!!
