  3. Hey Randy, There's an Aluma craft dealer in Sudbury if you wanted to do a comparison to a new one. I was impressed with Aluma craft but went with my Lund - no regrets on the Lund.
  4. www.animatedknots.com Shows you how to tie all of the above mentioned knots. Good site to use on a rainy, snowy, windy, crappy day such as this past week end. Enjoy!

  16. Looks really nice from where I'm viewing it! Thanx for posting the necessary info needed at the border. I've been searching in New Hampshire - now I'm going to search Ohio for sure. Do you pay sales tax in Ohio & Ontario? What is the rate of duty payable at the border? Can you use inter- ac, visa, mastercard at the dealer? I know a few questions I'd be asking the seller such as - engine compression report for all cylinders, send a pic of the lower end oil, is the trailer structurally sound for immediate towing, are the wheel bearings in good shape? Send me a close up pic of the tires, does it have a spare? Lots to consider when you think about it. I'd be interested in more info if you don't mind? Send me a PM if you wish. Thanx
  17. I'm a seasoned ice fisherman - heard lottsa different noises, cracking ice coming right through my hut etc. But, this one scared the crap outta me! I'm on Erie in a bay that was safe -10" of good ice, then I hear this cracking & it continued for a long time. I'd never heard or seen anything like this before. The cracking sounds continued. Now I'm getting panicked. Not sure whether to leave or not. I looked off to the south. There in the distance approx. 1 km was a lake freighter (perhaps an ice breaker) sailing eastward. The freighter was causing wave action which in turn caused the ice to crack. I'm sure the noise also spooked the fish because I was catching, then when the noise started, they shut down.
  18. Weeds is where the perch hang out to hide from bigger fish such as pike. Don't be shy to fish just above the weeds or near the edges of a weed bed.
  19. Was she wearing a helmet? Wouldn't hurt too much?? Sorry - I couldn't resist? LOL!
