My go to harness is always perch colored. If it isn't producing - which is rare - I'll switch to chartreuse or purple n black. Purple n black is especially good when the water is calm. Perch color is better with a slight chop on the water.

Thanx for an awesome report. Your pix are fantastic! My grandpa, father & 2 special uncles were also an great inspiration for me as a youngster to get into fishing. Many times while out fishing on my own I reflect back on the things we enjoyed as a family.

I'm happy to hear everyone is OK. As I grew older I quickly realized my physical capabilities aren't what they used to be. For the past 5 or 6 years I always wear my PFD.

Sad but true, people just don't realize the mess they leave behind. I never throw garbage out of my boat. I've even turned around & "rescued" a Tim's cup if the wind happened to blow it overboard.

I've had several open deck trailers in the past, but the road salt, sand & grime on my atv always annoyed me. My next trailer will definitely be an enclosed unit with slide out ramps. As mentioned above the flip down door will definitely take a beating. I would also install a boat winch at the front to winch the atv snug. On the rear I would install 2 chains. Attach the 2 chains to the atv first, then snug it to the front of the trailer with the winch. I do not like ratchet straps! They seem to get hooked onto everything!

Yes get the power trim for all the reasons stated above. Nicer ride in your boat will make you a happy camper.

I had Aplus air from Hamilton install a new Carrier furnace & 15 seer AC unit 5 years ago. 10 year parts & labour warranty on everything. They also installed a new flow through humidifier & cartridge type air filter. They advised me to get the variable speed DC fan motor. My fan runs 24/7 on low speed - keeps the humidifier operating & the air filter is filtering the air continuously. My electric bill is very reasonable - less than 80 bux per month. I like the fact my inside air is being constantly filtered.

Thanx for the info. I was in St. Catharines today & grabbed 4 trays at the Dollarama on Glenridge Ave., beside Cat's Caboose (wings & beer pub). They also had packages of 3/8" braided polypropylene rope - 50' for $3.00. I unfortunately paid $8.99 for the exact same product 2 weeks ago. You can never have enough rope on your boat!!

I guess I'm a softy. When asked at the checkout to donate to a charity for children, I don't mind a $1 or $2.00 donation.

Lots of lodges/cottages on the French River. We have stayed at Wolsely Lodge many times & the fish you are seeking are available. I'm not too sure about fishing in August - we usually book there in late September.

Agnew Lake is a good walleye lake. Approximately 1 hour from Espanola. Agnew Lake Lodge may rent you a boat for the day.

As Wayne stated try acetone, it is awesome! Wear a proper mask while using acetone, it has terrible fumes, that are very harmful. As already stated, take your time, do it right. Take lots of pix of your wiring, also label your wiring with color coded tape. I'm also interested in seeing the finished product.

I'm saddened by your story John. It's shameful what is going on in the hospitals these days. My parents passed away 16 years ago. I'm glad I didn't have to go through what you are experiencing.
