  1. Most welding/fabrication shops could make them for you.
  2. I checked out the web site that you booked with. Looks awesome! I'm sure a good time will be had by all. I like the fact you are paired with a different guide every day of your stay. Good luck.
  3. $2600. Wow! I'm in the wrong trade! Rent a 30 ton boom truck with an attached man basket. Most crane rental companies would be about $150.00 per hour = $600. includes the crane operator. 1 guy in the basket for less than 4 hours, that tree will be on the ground in small pieces.
  4. Awesome pix! Thanx. You admitted she out fished you?? Oh well, I guess someone has to put fish in the boat. LOL!
  5. Sorry to hear of your loss. My condolences to you & your family. It's funny you should mention that he stored those 2 reels in a crown royal bag. My late father stored his fish stringer in a crown royal bag. I still have it today & it is in my boat every trip out on the lake.
  6. I use slick mist on my truck, boat & motor. Awesome stuff, easy to apply & buffs really nice. Quick too. I wax my 4 door King Ranch in less than an hour!
  7. Awesome Mike! I enjoyed every minute of your report. Your pix & videos are fantastic.
  8. Awesome news Mike. Good Luck! I've read all your posts here on OFC - They are great reading. I'm sure you will do very well.
  9. Those pix are awesome! Lots of activity in your area. Thanx
  10. Nice slide show! Thanx for your report. Those are some awesome wallys
  11. Yup, Bay Distributors is top notch. I sent my Humminbird in for a repair, had it back in 7 days working very well.
  12. Nice pix! Thanx. Even better your daughter catching her first fish! Priceless!
  13. Awesome fish pix! Thanx. I'm a walleye guy - those are some excellent walleye you have there.
  14. I had an open deck trailer similar to what you are describing. I had chains on the rear & a boat winch mounted at the front. I hate ratchet straps. I drove the atv onto the trailer to a point where I could attach the 2 rear chains with hooks that also had safety clips. The chains are loose at this point. Go to the front & winch the atv forward until the 2 rear chains were tight. Then I attached a third safety chain to the front of the atv, in case the winch should become slack.
  15. Biggest one for me on Erie. Gave me a pretty good fight. Yes it was on the skinny side. Perch colored harness is my fav bait on Erie & also the northern lakes I fish. Thanx for the fun day Mr. Ironmaker.
  16. Bay City Marine in Hamilton. I've had several good experiences with Clarence & Doug. Purchased my new 1986 Larson from them, & now 29 years later new seats & trailer guides for my 14' Lund & most recently my new Yammy 20hp. It's all good!
  17. Thanx for the info. Very interesting.
  18. Awesome TJ! I love the pic your "giant pike". You need to grow longer arms! LOL!
  19. Awesome report & pics. I see you guys got a fair share of wallys. Question - Do you partially cook the bacon before wrapping it on the fish? If not, I could see where the bacon would be under cooked when the fish is done.
  20. Thanx John, I never thought of that. Is there an app you could recommend? Will I able to add, delete, edit waypoints to the app?
  21. Yah I was thinking the same thing! The motor is to stir your rum & coke! LOL!
  22. I was launching at King's bay Marina on Georgian Bay. 7 bux to launch, 7 to haul it out. Parking was 7 bux - then she inquiries if I have a trailer? Oh! That's another 7 bux. Total $28.00. That was 10 years ago! I don't know what they charge nowadays - cuz I never went back! Robbers! Also, when I launched there wasn't even a rickedy old dock to tie the boat up while I parked my truck & trailer!! Beat that one!!
  23. I know this topic has been discussed here previously, I attempted to use the search function on this site but, to no avail. I'm wanting to purchase a newer hand held gps mainly for on the water but also adaptable to my truck is a nice feature. I have the hummingbird 798 in my boat with built in gps but now finding myself in other people's boat & want to be able to take my (new) portable along. I have an older Garmin 72 which is basically obsolete. I watched a few videos on the Garmin 76CSX & Oregon 400 ($600.00). I was impressed with the Oregon because of the touch screen - It's like my iPhone. I also liked the Montana T which is on sale right now at Cabelas for $600.00 - $100.00 off reg price of $700.00. What do you think of the Garmin GPS map 64 st? It's reg $500.00 reduced to $350.00. During my search I was surprised that Radio World had a small selection to choose from. On the newer models is there an easier way to edit a waypoint as opposed to scrolling through the alphabet to find the letter you want to insert? I find this takes to long to edit that particular way point. Do they come with preloaded maps, charts? I'm sure technology has certainly improved since my older Garmin. Recommendations from the knowledgeable members on this site is greatly appreciated. Thanx
