Yep..if you are looking for another F150...mid 90s with LOTS of kms and not too good on fuel for $3000. use the kijiji ontario search feature rather then just your area.

I found the 2 perch. Nice haul.

Happy birthday Wayne. Hope you have a great weekend. You only turn 50 once...unless your 100 .

Need some electrical advice around pot lights and more.
Nipfisher replied to Harrison's topic in General Discussion
He is a certified electrician not a grade school teacher. I was talking with my friend yesterday and he told me about this comment and how he doesn't enjoy OFC any more because of some members. I had not read this thread because I have no valuable advise to give on wiring. Looks like Bob doesn't either. This kind of stuff (negative comments and cheap shots) has to be cleaned up on this site. I like how Spud7378 had to edit his "heated" reply to conform with OFC rules but Bob should have to edit his stupid comment too. Phil, hope you got the advice you were looking for. -
He should take a 400 mile drive south and go join another team. I'll take a bag of pucks or golf balls for him as long as he takes his contract with him.

All good points so far. I know you looked at the regs so you know pike is closed in Zone 11. Best bet for you would be to find a decent lake and fish the river mouths as they will be open.
-
They will probably report that the Turkeys have returned from flying down to South America for the winter lol.
-
I never said the lake wasn't rising. It is. The Duchesney Creek Falls are just blasting right now. I am sure the Sturgeon River and South River are flowing pretty good too.

What I can tell you from OBSERVATION is the water is really low right now and we have already had a 50% melt from up North. In Feb it was reported that there was 4 feet of snow on average with 2 feet of water within that snow. Well, I saw a report on t.v. this week that said the snow is now 50% melted meaning without rain we have only 2 more feet of water (run-off from spring melt). I would need at leat 2 feet in my marina ro launch my boat. Therefor the whole lake has to come up at least 2 feet or my boat stays in my driveway.

Working 2 rods while wading is just asking for trouble. That would be tough.

The one who SMELT it....dealt it. lol. Chad have you asked permission at that house yet? Want me to ask this year?
-
Good shots Chad, I'll bring the camera tomorrow.
-
Only a few people on here will call you a poacher Terry.
-
Great job Ryan. I'm fishing some Quebec / Ontario boundary waters tomorrow and I have already called the MNR to confirm. I will bring my regs with me.

o.k.

Fair enough. If BBM is within the 75 feet of the dam or obstacle then he is wrong. Pretty difficult to measure 75 feet of rugged shoreline. Still, I feel a question to the OP or a PM asking how close he was to the dam would have been more appropriate. I took one on the chin last summer in a report by MercMan and Musky Mike where I challenged a picture of 9 walleye as being over the 2-person limit. I was WRONG to challenge it within the thread and I have apologised and made ammends with both of those fine anglers and gentlmen. I find fault with the way the regs are written in many instances. Why wouldn't thr MNR post a sign that says no fishing from here to dam?
-
Good on you BBM. I was dissappointed in this thread when I first read it this morning and even more so now. All you assumers need to PM the OP and apologise. This site can be rediculous some times. Hey BBM, didn't you read in the rules where you have to explain every picture including, zone, date, and time of catch? Dissapointed in a mod challenging the pictures in this thread as well. Wouldn't a PM have been more appropriate?

I agree Doc. BPS is just an attraction for me. If the wife wants to go to LuLu Lemon or shopping for the kids then I stop in. Usually only spend $100 per year there.
-
Good job and time well spent with your kids.
-
Gen 1s are under $400 brand new at BPS. I'll give you a great deal Simon. I will sell you my HDS5 for $549

Allows you to scope out some depths under your canoe then put that info together to map out drop offs and shoals. Like Joey said....once you find the fish you can jig under the canoe and watch the fish.
-
Thanks Joey. After Sunday (+19 forecasted) it will be much less.

Well March 15th has come and gone. It was a great season on Lake Nipissing in which I fished more days then ever before. Being out of work helped out with that. However, I was still on "dad duty" and that limited my fishing to starting after 8am and leaving the ice at 4:30. In that I missed prime time almost every outing. I had a few really good days with multiple walleye and alot of days with just one keeper eye. The beginning of the season had lots of pike to be caught and the end of the season had more perch. This is the first year out of the last 17 that I can remember where the walleye had not yet come in shallow by season end. For the last couple outings we have fished 30 feet of water where we would normally target 17' and shallower. I wonder if they will be on time for the spawn finishing prior to the opening date? Here are some pictures from March 15th. We had to leave the ice around 2:30pm to allow the thunder storm complete with hail to pass by. It was a good chance to grab another dozen minnows. We needed them. We ended the day with over 30 perch and 2 walleye. 1 walleye was too small and the other was a keeper at 14". Of the 30+ perch we caught we ended up keeping 22 all between 8-12". Most were around 10-11". Here is the are we fished. By mid-day we still had about 13" of solid ice. Here is a mess of perch and the 14" walleye. Close up for my imaginary sponsor (Thanks Moosebunk ) Coors Light. Hopefully I get a few more walleye fishes in before the season closes in Zone 11. If not, I'll be ready to begin again in May long.

Would have been easier for the ladies to boat it if they knew how to work a ratchet strap. It was wound too much to start with and was binding.
