  1. Looking good Chad. I wouldn't worry about too much fish slime in it. Maybe a mess from worm dirt.
  2. Millhouse, I was being sarcastic. I still find walleye in Nipissing. The biggest reasons for the decline are 1) continued netting and spearing by NFN. Tons of walleye harvested each year. 2) pressure by recreational anglers. There are 100s of ice bungalows and 1000s of ice huts on Nipissing all year. Figure each bungalow catches 100 walleye in every season and every hut catches 20 walleye per season. That is ALOT of walleye. I would guess that my #s are VERY conservative.
  3. There is no pickeral (or walleye) in Lake Nipissing stick with Rice.
  4. Welcome to the board. Go with a 2 piece Shimano Compre. I would try to stay around 6'6" - 7' for walleye as you are not trolling.
  5. Welcome to the board.
  6. I love the emphatic "umph" during the high five (which is really a low five by the way Simon).
  7. Incredible Brandon.
  8. How you gonna pull a bass boat on your bike?
  9. Nice looking smallmouth perch.
  10. Hey wach your language. This is a family site. :rofl2:
  11. They look like the one in Brian's (Misfish) post.
  12. Yep. Them are some PIGS.
  13. Watch out everybody...T.J. is out of hibernation Good to see another Jiggy post T.J.
  14. Drifting a jig/minnow across the rippled sand flats at the mouth of the French River. Trolling or drifting a chartruse in-line spinner tipped with a minnow. Taking some time to target Silver Bass in the Sturgeon River too.
  15. Yep, you could get them for driving. My prescription Oakleys are polarized and have the anti-glare coating. I'm guessing your plan will cover the 1st $250-$300.
  16. If you have an optical plan through your employer your optician may make you some and write the bill up as "lenses and frames".
  17. Last year I posted about losing my grandfather. Will be a year in August. He too was 97 when he passed and the story of Ralph Bice reminds me of him. Thanks for that Mike. I remember challenging my grandpa as we drove up Hwy 11 from Kenogami to Temagami. He had fished pretty much every lake and chain along the highway. He was able to tell me what species of fish was in each chain, how they caught them, who he was with, and when. The stories NEVER changed no maatter how much time had passed since I asked him last.
  18. Get it on....Bang a gong....Get it on. http://youtu.be/P4HQbRuWJUU
  19. Love the shirt. Way to go Jen.
  20. The fiddle heads or baby ferns are delicious when fried in butter and flavoured with salt and pepper. When they are close to the ground they are best. Either pull them by hand or cut them with a knife. The taller they get the tougher they get.
  21. Yep. We pick them when they are still wrapped up tight and partially covered in the brown sheath.
  22. Happy birthday Brian.
  23. BINGO! You win the prize Paul. I just had the Yamaha guy on the phone and said he can fix it. There are 2 sub-divider valves. One is easy to replace but can't tell if it will fix it. The other involves opening the pump unit and replacing it. Both kits are $90 each. The 1st vale is only 15 minutes work (think we checked that one) the other is a 2 hour job. If I get lucky then it will only be $130 ($90 + labour) to fix. If it is the internal one it will be close to $400 2x $90 + labour). Davey bouy, sounds like this is what you were trying to explain as well.
  24. Sure it's from strong arming Justin :whistling:
  25. The commercial harvest target is about 46,000 kg a year according to NFN. IF NFN is only actually catching less then 20,000 kgs per year why not drop the target to 30,000. It would "go-over" well with the public. 101 thousand pounds of walleye hurts my ears alot more then 66 thousand pounds.
