Dave, Yellowknife to Tampa in March....you're going to go into shock.

Looking at the lunar calanders it is supposed to be good fishing 3 days before and 3 days after the full moon. With the drastic changes in temps over the last 2 days fishing has sucked. Marking lots of fish and can put the bait in front of them but not biting. I was thinking about going to the hut tonight from 8 - midnite. Unfortunately, I fell asleep puting my little guy to bed and woke up after 9. Question is.....anyone have better or less success fishing the full moon during winter?

Great pics Ben. I picked up a Rattlin' Flyer Spoon in the orange/chartruse this season. Hasn't got me a bite yet, but a I give it a shot on every outing. Been Buckshot spoons and Sweedish Pimples doing the jigging damage for me.

Good on ya bud. I'll say yes to your "spot" some time. Sled is all fixed up and we can leave right from Callander. Should only be 15-20 minute ride. I am glad the fish started biting again. It was tough for the last 3 days. -
HUGE Giants fan and Spud7378 owes me a dozen shiners. I'll have those delivered to my hut please.

Beauty Fish Brian. I have a 43.5" on my wall and I don't think mine was that fat. I'm guessing 23-25 lbs.

I have some "nice" friends.

Was out for a few hours today. 1 pike, 11 more perch and missed a few good bites. A fat 15" walleye was caught beside my hut.

Well I ended up with a free day today and took full advantage of it. I decided to move my hut to deeper water so off I went at 9am. As I was driving out onto the lake I saw a deer crossing the bay. She (I think) had some difficulty on the slick ice but made up for it when she hit the snow. I was at the hut at 9:20 and sizing up the job. Used the Jack-All to lift the hut and remove some of the blocks. Drilled a hole to take out the minnow motel and pulled the hut forward about 15 feet. Then it was the hard work.....chipping out the the blocks that were frozen in andf the piled snow that was around the hut. I pulled the hut across the bay to my "spot". I was looking for 23 fow but there was a plowed road through that area so I went in a bit. Dropped my line, yes just one, and was crazy busy tending to it so I couldn't put another line down. 1st drop was a solid bite but lost it half way up. Re-baited and dropped it right back down. 11.5" walleye. Not too big but a keeper. Followed that with 7 quick perch then another little walleye that was released (9"). Finally got my second line down at 11:20am and the perch bite continued. Landed 2 pike one of them 24". Just before lunch I caught a 16.5" walleye that was released due to slot size. If you look past the chip board hut to the left of me you can see the Island where my hut was. Then it was lunch time. Mmmmmmmmmmm beans and beer. Pineapple for desert. Bite continued until 4:30 when I HAD to leave. I'm sure it would have been stellar through the evening bite. Ended the day with 8 walleye. One slot size, and 4 small ones. One was about 3" long and the hook was wedged in it's mouth. It couldn't even fit the hook in it's mouth! 2 pike and approx 20 perch. I kept 13 of the bigger perch but no real jumbos. Biggest was 9.5". Here is the sink shot. Next year I will set up here for the gtg.

That is a hog. I caught 8 today and one of them was less than 4" long. New PW walleye for me but was really cute.

Billy Bob, Art, Joe, and other U.S. members you get 6 more weeks of WINTER according to Puxatony Phill. Our Canadian Ground Hogs, Wiarton Willie and Shubenacadie Sam, predicted an early spring. Not like we evwen had a winter yet.

At least I got the win. Good game by Reimer.

Temagami is on Net Lake which is 5 kms. North of Temagami. I heard there were less then 5 fish caught there last year and a ciscoe won the big prize.

"The Rock Pine" Randy. The Blue Roof in Sundridge (no longer on the 4 lane highway) is great for a quick stop. If you are going further North The Bay Truck Stop is excellent. In North Bay my vote goes to Burger World. Either of their 2 locations. ALL DAY BREAKFAST!

I would give him back the combo (he comes picks it up) and be done with him. It is really not worth it. He will feel like a dufus, and you need a new fishing buddy. If I lived closer I'd pay my share to fish with you.

Leafs 4-2 tonight with an empty net goal.

Another .....ummmmmm....interesting thread Skip. If you open the gap of your hook too much forget about hook set.

The win was on Kessel's stick in the 3rd and he WHIFFFED on it.

We used all our wedding money to buy a complete set of kitchen appliances. Kenmore Elite Series. Washer and dryer are only 3 years old.
-
It's really too bad all my appliances are only 6 years old. I did manage to get a tiny turner (screw driver) from Paul but I'll have to wait for a service call?

Shoe,I am willing to collect for this area from here. Not wanting to collect from people south of here due to the logistics of getting shirts / money etc. I am sure I can collect an order for 10-15 shirts from North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, and Sudbury areas. Some one from down south want to partner with this?
