  1. Another vote for Alumacraft, I own a Crestliner for the last 13 years and very happy with it too, Yamaha all the way for the choice of motor. Go with walk through full windshield for the family.
  2. It has to be ordered through Cabelas.ca to be shipped free to a Canadian store. Cabelas.com is only for US stores
  3. "In the video Rochefort is yelling out that the MNRF is stealing his ice huts" LOL
  4. Try cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, Happened to one of my reels, bug spray on my hands was the culprit.
  5. You won't regret more power if that's what you need, If you just want longer troll time, I would stick to 12v system with 2 batteries hooked in parallel for a 16' boat.
  6. Nanionics + is a 16GB card, Whatever unit you buy, make sure it is able to process that much data if you plan on going with Nav + As for lowrance Transducers, they used to be made by Airmar in the past, ever since Lowrance went with cheaper manufecturer, they just don't last as long as they used to. I don't think road debri has much to do with it unless you are sand blasting it on a dirt road on a regular bases, Transducers work even through the fiberglass hull , I don't think a few minor scratches make a difference, but it never hurts to protect them while trailoring regardless of make.
  7. Ditto ^ Nice haul, Pike is delicious.
  8. Great progress ! Hope it works as expected and it will help many.
  9. I do my own reel maintenance, A light coating of reel grease on gears and drag washers, some reel oil on bearings and all other sliding/ moving parts, I only use synthetic stuff with PTF
  10. Those are professional protesters smashing windows and starting fires, not people like you and me, Nothing wrong with peacefull protests, I don't agree with that kind of rioting.
  11. It sure looks like it so far.
  12. Cotton Cordell Ripplin Redfin They come as floating or suspending types, Make sure you got the same type, Try in a bucket of water
  13. Awesome & Congrats !!! That's great news bunk. I will check it out tonight
  14. Try Mike's reel repair for parts
  15. Other than Boga grip, Evolution Gorilla Grippers are probably the 2nd best in my opinion for handling large fish like musky or king salmon. They have a built in scale and swivel like Boga. They are sold @ BPS for around $60 Cdn, Make sure you snug the lanyard around your wrist or have the Grippers on a leash before handling a fish. ?
  16. Heartlands have one year warranty, I don't know where you live but any rod/reel repair shop can replace the guides, Aikman's in Mississauga is an authorized Daiwa service centre, They will have the right parts.
  17. Take Old Ironmaker's advice, Could be as simple as a clogged filter or nutrilizer on the codensate drain but it is NOT your problem, Call your landlord. There are lot of safety and limit switches on these high efficiency furnaces, You could mess things up by just removing an access panel,
  18. Thanks for the clarification JohnBacon, That is what I had been told, HP rating is recommendation by the boat manufecturer and not legally enforced in Canada, It is highly advisable to follow the manufecturer's recommendations for safety and insurance reasons.
  19. HP rating on a hull is just a guideline in Canada, it is not legally enforced like the US, BUT, I am not sure how an insurance company will handle a claim on an over powered vessel in case of an accident etc.
  20. I have been using Krown for the last 20+ years, my current truck is 11 years old, no rust on any of my vehicles, You can have it done anytime of the year, product works all the same, Krown says spring is the best time to spray. It will drip for a couple of days, so if you have a fancy new driveway, park on the street. Most Krown shops/franchises are good and well trained and do an excellent job, The one on Midwest Rd in Scarborough is very good. I will not go to the one on Sheppard Ave east of McCowan Rd.
  21. Thats a good reel, also good for bottom bouncing with that flipping switch.
  22. Ditto What Art said, Stick with Honda, their inverter type generators will give you clean power and trouble free service, specially during the cold months.
  23. Looks good ! Now you have to stock some muskies in your pool ?
  24. I think you mean Cross Town Battery, He doesn't really rebuild batteries, he is a battery wholesaler/supplier, He does sell batteries with thicker plates for golf carts, auto scrubbers and marine use, I have been buying my batteries from him for the last 20 years, good stuff !
