  1. Electric shies specially when you have a mess of pan fish like perch, crappies etc For bigger fish, I don't really care, I will use whatever is handy, quality of fillets will be the same either way for me. I do it quick enough for me, I am not in a marathon or any competition, I have a life other than filleting fish, lol Trick to keeping any knife sharp is try not to use it on scales and bones, I slab my fillets with a cheap serrated knife, and do the final skinning and trimming with a razor sharp fillet knife, Sharpening a knife AND knowing what is "sharp" is a whole different subject ?
  2. If you have been using the battery right down to nothing on most days, I would say 4 years is pretty good you got out of it, There are only so many life cycles you get out of a battery, a battery charged after 50% use will last much longer than one charged after 80% use. There isn't much you can do to revive it back.
  3. 50 lb mono between diver & flasher, 40 lb fluoro from flasher to fly,
  4. What would you use a 30" wide trailer for ? ??
  5. Very true ! The same applies to hydro, postal service, school boards etc
  6. Let us not forget the poor lawyers ?
  7. Air and water will always take the least resistant route, if the filter is deformed and have any gaps around the edges it will defeat the purpose of having a filter in the first place,
  8. Fran makes after market cabin filters for most vehicles, CT has them, Almost 1/2 price compare to OEM
  9. Read your vehicle's manual and Replace the filter, I am not familiar with your vehicle but that is most likely a customer replaceable part, shouldn't be that hard to do, Besides giving you cleaner air to breath,That filter saves your evaporator coil from clogging up, Once the evaporator coil gets plugged, it's a much bigger/harder job to clean. On a side note, I was surprised to learn that there is still asbestos used in break pads made offshore, I am not sure if some of those are allowed to be sold in Canada, Asbestos is not used in break pads made in Canada, USA as far as I know.
  10. I find it very hard to believe that a cardiologist makes less than $30 per patient.
  11. I replaced rotten carpet covered bunk boards on my Shorelander trailer with cedar and screwed 4" strips of 3/4" polyethylene board on top, 4 years and still good. This year I replaced the load guides with 1 1/2" polyethylene board. no wood. stuff will probably outlast the trailer
  12. I feel sorry for the poor doctors .
  13. Here is an example of a seemingly harmless routine situation turning in to a very dangerous one ( notice the size of that knife ) And an example of a very good cop,
  14. Those are some gorgeous specimen !!
  15. What are you doing with flotation foam ?
  16. Let your lures dry before puting them back in tackle trays, If you have to pack them wet, air them out at home, I have some pretty old lures, no rust. I wouldn't spray no chemicals on the lures, not good for the environment, your hands and it doesn't help with fishing. WD40 is actually corrosive, that's why it is a penetrant, try on patio door track (aluminum), you will see pitting in a year or two.
  17. If you didn't see any then there is no rot, At least the inside wood is exposed and you can air it out after each outing, just leave the back hatches open when not in use, I know what you mean by transome cap not being sealed, but my boat is 12 years old and no sign of leak anywhere around transom cap, Another spot to look is around the scuppers, there are 2 pieces on each scupper, just pushed in from either side, mine leaked when the boat was new, l pulled them out and reinstalled with 3M 5200, You might not have the same design.
  18. You should be ok as long as holes are sealed from outside, I would have filled the hole from both sides first, Sealant is cheap. And it's no good for next time once you open the tube.
  19. Most likely rigged by the dealer,
  20. I wouldn't use any epoxy or sealer, it will interfere with 5200 bonding to wood.
  21. Remove one bolt at a time, fill the hole with 3M 5200 from inside and outside, coat the bolt with the same sealant, insert and tighten the nut, use lock nuts if you can, when tightening, only turn the nut, make sure the bolt does not turn. let the access sealant ooze out. leave to cure.
  22. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA !! THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD !!!!!
