  1. I always disliked the shoot out. I think a 3 on 3 would be settled quickly, no need to worry that the game would go on all night. I would also be happy with a tie, as I don't like losers being rewarded with a point.
  2. I have never heard of a fair settlement on a stolen vehicle.
  3. These are some very sad stories.
  4. That vehicle with the lower kms and the shape it was maintained in will be worth well over the blue book value.
  5. I don't think that there is a marina on Eagle Lake. You might have to make a run to Fort Irwin and see if they rent boats there. That's on Haliburton Lake.
  6. Ottawa trading for Burrows = another reason to dislike that team. LOL
  7. Why is it the law abiding citizen has to pay for the behaviour of those that break the law or are just plan inconsiderate. Someone dropped the ball on this whole thing by not enforcing the current laws, whether it is poaching, littering, urinating in public, whatever. I have avoided the place for years because of the crap show and will never pay an extra fee to fish in one municipality. They could make more $$$$ by fining people/anglers for their wrongdoings as farsider indicated. It will never happen though, not enough manpower.
  8. I will boycott. Never been in the past though. I hope they don't really do the damage that is stated by running the float day.
  9. Yikes, this smells bad. It's spreading by the sounds of it, if other municipalities are doing it already. Would that mean you would have to pay that fee if you launched in Port Hope? Maybe they don't want river fishing happening at all and this is the only way they might be able to stop it or slow it. Funny, I was just thinking about trying some pier fishing for the first time in like 15 years.
  10. Kashagawigamog would be an early morning late evening, night bite for walleye, not sure about the lakers. South end for lakers and north end for walleye. There are probably some previous posts about that lake.
  11. Exciting to watch this young team, win or lose. I hope the nonsense about possibly trading Nylander stops; there is absolutely no need to make any kind of trade unless someone wants Lupul or the NHL experienced guys with the Marlies. They don't need to make the move this year, because they struggle against the big western teams and adding one guy won't make a difference in the long run at this point.
  12. That's not the news that anyone wants to get. I dread getting any test results from the doctor because of hearing things like this. However, stay positive like others have said. I have seem a few people beat the big C. Looks like a lot of people are thinking of you!
  13. Check out the cost of repairs for any Toyota. We owned a couple and thought they were great until we were given the price for certain repairs. They sure get you on the parts.
  14. Now I'm hungry!
  15. Sounds like it has changed a lot since you were there. Still not many resorts compared to the other islands.
  16. We stayed right next door at the Rex between Grand Anse and the newer Airport. Nice fish!!!!
  17. I almost went to Antigua this year, but ended up in Grenada and didn't bring a fishing rod. Had a chance to go out with some guys but decided against it because I usually don't have any luck. They came back with 4 wahoo and 3 barracuda. The wahoo were all over 25 pounds. I got to eat some of it and it was amazing. I won't miss out again. Thanks for sharing his Simon, I will want to pick your brain if I go to Antigua next year.
  18. My condolences to everyone that knew Joey. She was a great contributor to this site.
  19. Not sure why the Leafs would consider trading anyone other than Polak at this point, unless it's a blow me away offer.
  20. I checked that MNR online site and was very disappointed to say the least. I doubt that there are channel catfish in there. My son in law has lived on that lake all his life and has never mentioned channel cats.
  21. Maybe there is no movement with the stack. That valve sounds like a good idea, are they legal in Ontario?
  22. I was out yesterday roaming around the Beaverton area. We didn't catch nearly as many as you mentioned Cliff, but did bring home 20 for dinner. We tried a few spots, but ran into some real issues with the ice fields. The endless slush that came out of some of the holes was a real pain and we ended up giving up on a few holes. It was nice to get out though. First time this year for me on Simcoe.
  23. Check out some of the resorts on the north end of Pigeon Lake.
  24. I also believe the abuse goes way beyond the charges that we hear about.
