  1. If your a beginner I would suggest you use a mono Trilene and Stren are my 2 favorites and keep the test at 14-16 if you try learning with 8-10 lb. test you will have problems especially if your casting into any sort of wind. I have used a baitcaster for years and I still do not like using line lighter than 14 lb.
  2. Nice smallie but what that ugly blue thing on your forehead????
  3. I have used Statefarm for 30 years!
  4. Ya it`s been covered numerous times but I would take a jig if Walleye was the target and a Senko for everything else. I haven`t caught a Walleye on a Senko yet. Note to self try a Senko next spring.
  5. Hi Buck, I assume the rude is working okay? I had to replace the impellor on my Yammy this spring and it was new the previous fall I don`t know what happened but I was getting it ready this spring and it was working fine and then it just stopped working, perhaps the winter did something or perhaps when the dealer told me he was going to change the impellor he didn`t.
  6. Sorry Steve I forgot how sensitive some people are around here when you mention a spot! Did you admonish Mark for mentioning Cooks Bay?
  7. Lots of nice smallies in K Bay!
  8. And the best thing about the Impala is you can get a 2007 with low K`s for less than 18 grand!
  9. The 3.4 is not an option on the Buick or the Impala the 3.8 is standard on the Buick and the 3.5 on the Impala, The 3.9 and 5.3 are also options on the Impala.
  10. Last winter I had to replace my company car in a hurry and I did the research on the Buick Allure and Impala and most of the reviews I read were positive especially on the Impala. One thing I would suggest if your not hung up on the it`s gotta be new thing is to look at a 2006 or 2007 low mileage used. As most people know GM vehicles for the most part have a lousy resale value especially in the first year or two thats the way I went and I saved 14K over a new vehicle. The vehicle I bought had 17,000 miles on it, to me that new car smell was not worth 14K.
  11. It has been my experience that anything under 12 does not work really well, you`ll loose distance on the cast and your tangles will increase.
  12. My manual (Yamaha 4 stroke) says to spray fogging oil into the carbs! I always change oil in the spring,no problem yet and I have never drained the carbs just use stabil and run it through the engine as per the owners manual.
  13. my guess is it would get about .5 miles to the gallon using that as a multiplier it cost about me about 135 bucks for gas for my little jaunt to my favorite Walleye hole and back.LOL
  14. and musky, I used to fish there often when I was a younger man, got my personal best LM and SM at Canal. Try the first bridge for smallies.
  15. the only tool that I have ever carried in my boat is a spark plug wrench and a couple of spare plugs I see no need to keep all the other stuff because I wouldn`t no what to do with it any ways Just carry a cell and call a tow truck if you need help.
  16. my owners manual says 15-20 minutes.
  17. The farmer IMHO is an A hole he shot some kids pets he did not have to do that. does the law work both ways can I shoot one of his cows or pigs if it wonders on to my property?
  18. Congrats on your new ride guys enjoy. I was wondering since the rig is a early 80`s model I was wondering is that brown shag carpet she`s wearing? LOL
  19. I understand he won it in the fiction category!
  20. I heard it was caught in Rainy lake LOL!
  21. All my Musky baits have the barbs pressed down, better for the fish and better for me if a accident happens.
  22. Nails and rebar that would explain his lack of speed. LOL
  23. That was a nice play by McCabe going around the net LOL what a waste of money. The biggest mystery to me is how this guy JFJ who signed these bozo`s still has his job.
  24. I use one for business and I love it and as a phone it has very good reception far better than any other phone I have had. Being in sales it is important to me that I look after my customers right away because if I don`t my competitor is just dying for a shot at my customers. Congrats to you guys who can afford to ignore your customers or hope they call back.
  25. Just go and get a decent DVD player for under a 100 buck and forget about the HD DVD players until you are sure which company is going to win the format battle. If you are interested in doing a lot of recording you may want to look into one of the service provider`s PVR`s
