  1. My dad was strange too, right handed but left eye dominant, https://www.allaboutvision.com/resources/dominant-eye-test.htm , so anything that the parallax error would cause him problems, he did left handed, shooting, throwing darts, swinging a baseball bat, archery but he did cast with his right hand and he was very good at it too, he won first place a few times at the Toronto Sportsman Show , Toronto Anglers and Hunter's competition both in fly and bait accuracy, the late 40's , early 50's.
  2. If it is mounted on top of the rod I reel it with my right hand , slung underneath I reel with my left, I am old and right handed. BTW Always cast right handed.
  3. Had Bell all my life, close to 50 years and dad had 40 years service when he retired from Bell. Last Fall we decided to cut the TV service completely, only phone and Fibe Internet to remain, I call , press 1 for English, LOL, get some overseas call centre and some heavily accented , barely understandable English and explain I want to cancel about 90 bucks of TV service. Short story, because I don't have 3 services bundled anymore I loose a bunch of discounts and they recoup about 50 bucks of the anticipated savings I thought I would get. I get POed , loose it , probably said some things I shouldn't have, call Cogeco, get a Canadian and work out a deal for unlimited internet, think it is a 60 gig connection, home phone retaining my present number , bunch of features and unlimited calling US and Canada long distance as my wife is from Florida and my stepdaughters and grandkids are there and 1 in Oregon, all for $104 a month, going to $140 or so after the year honeymoon is over, better than around 200 with Bell for basically the same package. Between an android box and Cyberflix, 15 bucks for an IPTV package and the Toshiba TV in the livingroom does chromecast for the laptop sitting on the coffee table for youtube, we get all the Leafs, Raptors and Jays game, morning and evening news on CHCH and watch just about any show that was broadcast in the past 20 years. Home is now Bell Free ?
  4. I use a lot of dried beans, chickpeas and lentils , an instant pot type pressure cooker makes life a lot easier and a whole bunch quicker.
  5. Most gar I have ever seen was in Stoco Lake at Tweed. On a high speed run you would see pods of them hanging just under the surface all over the lake.
  6. They both cost more than my house, crazy . ? '82 I bought an 18 foot Sylvan Rodmaster, 90 Johnson and trailer for under 10 with tax.
  7. Some more Warren, that Derek kid is pretty good too ? edit: and his wife can sing too
  8. Is it approved as a PFD or do you have to have a real approved PFD on board besides the belt? I can't see a belt keeping your head above water if you are unconscious.
  9. Gov't Mule or Allman Bros, I spend a lot of youtube time listening to Warren Haynes
  10. They keep the Red Squirrel population in check, now those little beggars are destructive.
  11. Yikes, this one I saw a couple of days ago didn't turn out as well. A life changer, actually lucky to be alive. https://www.si.com/college-football/2019/01/09/matt-branch-ex-lsu-lineman-shot-dog-leg-amputated
  12. Looks like they reinvented the Bolens Snowmobile of the sixties. LOL ?
  13. Good luck with the new job, obviously it has nothing to do with snow removal ?.
  14. My very best days in the spring usually was nose hooked nightcrawlers as bait on the Ganny, all is not lost without roe.
  15. Think he did a few Letterman's as well in the beginning.

  18. I was the Park Naturalist at Long Point Prov. Park for 2 seasons in the 70's, the deepest point in Erie is just off the tip of the point.
  19. Most would guess the NY State record Laker would be a Lake Ontario fish, nope, Lake Erie as well. The guys fishing the upper Niagara for trout and pickerel during the winter get some slob Lakers there as well.
  20. should have kept McElhinney DOH!!!!!
  21. this is right up there too in the best performance category, same year , same concert. Quality is not the best but the epic drum solo is uncut. Must really suck if the music of your youth is something after about 1980.
  22. 2019, it was fifty years ago, Woodstock 69 , my generation , I still rate this a one of the very best live performances of all times, watch it every couple of months still..
  23. Been using Cyberflix here for a while ?
  24. I prefer this album to Moondance, the John Lee Hooker influence is pretty obvious here.
  25. For me this whole album has withstood the test of time better than any of the Beatles from the 60's
