Jb's carries the riverwood worms Cheers, Mark -
A quick google came up with Amazon.com, Basspro.com and one place in Midland. Perhaps Wayne could nab it for you... http://www.factoryrecreation.com/dlrindexsend_pg_catprod_levelcode_64642_catalogcode_7536_partheadernumber_1419601-CRC174+LIQUID+ROLLERS.htm Cheers, Mark

I would have guessed Milk Snake but, it is hard to tell by that picture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk_snake Cheers, Mark

I agree with Dana. Bear is a dolt and I won't support him or what he endorses. What really pisses me off is that he is a former SAS dude and knows better than the advice he gives. He is no Ray or Les. Have you considered a Swedish clearing axe. Less Jedi , more Thor. http://www.leevalley.com/en/garden/page.aspx?p=10246&cat=2,45794 Also, if you are sold on CS, Lebaron sells some of their stuff. Here is some of what they carry: http://www.lebaron.ca/pdf_files_sp13/cold_steel_tanto.pdf Cheers, Mark

If you want to keep the trailer for a few years, use POR15 on all the rusted areas, then topcoat the rest with something less expensive. Auto restoration guys swear by it. http://www.canada-por15.com/index.htm Cheers, Mark

Loons, Fawn and a Heron - The Last Three Weeks
farsider replied to JustinHoffman's topic in Photography
Nice shots Justin. I am glad you are using your better judgement and not pushing these animals into unknown peril to get your shots. That Fawn especially would be an easy meal for any Kaiyotay or even a Fox if they were alerted to its whereabouts. At that stage, hiding motionless or sometimes Momma is their only chance for survival. As I am sure you are aware, one of the calls Coyote hunters use to lure them into shooting range is a distressed Fawn call. Its amazing the distance they will travel once they hear it. Especially during birthing season. Cheers, Mark- 5 replies

Nice catch! That Bear in the Vex t-shirt looks more wild! Cheers, Mark

Art, that rig you described is still just a weighted wacky rig. I use the 'O' rings too. It really adds to the longevity of the bait. The "Wacky" rig decribes hooking the worm through the middle to get the 'T' shape you mentioned. The Shaky head rig is a stand-up jig screwed into the nose of the worm then shaked as you described. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1ajg_4_UQU Cheers, Mark

Have you considered fixing the cooler if you were happy with it? There is a Service centre for Coleman in Mississauga on Matheson near Tomken. I have purchased cooler and stove parts from them. Here is a link with some of what they have to offer but more is available instore. http://www.warehouseoutlet.ca/en/shop-by-category/camping-equipment/c378018856/c377953448/index.html Cheers, Mark

This seems to be an exact copy of a lure Salmo introduced a few years ago called the Whacky. Something about ..."sincerest form of flattery." At any rate they are available from North Bay Outfitters. http://www.northbayoutfitters.com/default.aspx?ctl=ctl_ec_categories&category_id=309 Cheers, Mark

Nice shots. Well done sir! Hope this translates into more opportunities for you. Cheers, Mark

Its also been reported that "whistle blower" protection does not apply. It only applies to reporting of unlawful actions. All of this was before a judge, Congressional oversite, and National Security commitees. Ty Patriot Act. I think this lad just screwed the pooch. Or something less vulgar. Cheers, Mark

I was hoping somebody would have a line on some Rubber sheet goods offcuts in the Mississauga/Toronto or Cambridge/Kitchener/Waterloo area. I always seem to need small pieces (up to 12"x12" but larger Ok) of rubber sheet up to 1/4" thick for gaskets, mountings, clamping, etc. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance, Mark

Ray Mears got it as well and has fared well after treatment to everyones benefit. Good that you caught it so early. Cheers, Mark

Anybody know where I can buy clear pill/film containers locally?
farsider replied to buick14's topic in General Discussion
I know Lee Valley carries these which may fit the bill in the larger 4" sizes. http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=32173&cat=1,43326 Cheers, Mark -
Special mate spoon tackle boxes locally? Where?
farsider replied to buick14's topic in General Discussion
JB's used to carry them. Worth a call to confirm. Cheers, Mark -
Go with Trojan Tackle. Just get a riser for your salty and get three more setups. Cdn. made and a big Musky supporter runs the business. http://trojantackle.ca/holders.htm He sells tracks and all the accessories and will custom make something for you to exactly fit your needs if he doesn't already offer it. Cheers, Mark
