  1. Canadian Outdoor Equipment in South Mississauga just started carrying those if it is more convenient. It is a small store with some awesome "Bushcraft" gear. CDN Outdoor Equipment Cheers, Mark
  2. Thanks Dan, I will make it a point to get up there. Is there a specific design people liked? I have seen them with small storage, Big storage (helmets and jerry cans), Hand holds and without, Brake lights or not, quick release On and Off, etc. Good idea. I actually tried on there a few weeks ago but only found a couple. I'll try again. We were only going to use the 2 up for Ice Fishing and I guess some back lakes, and then never very fast. You still had issues when both riders were leaning appropriately? Good point. Already plated and insured. Thats cheap! Any experience with the brand? Any experience with units made in PRC compared to US made? That actually could work for us. Any issues in deeper snow? We actually thought we would tow our Ice sled behind and just throw the quad in the bed when travelling but this way has some positive advantages. Thanks for everybodys advice, Mark
  3. Thanks to your advice I checked out Canadian Gun Nutz. They have an incredible thread about shortening PAL approval times. I only wish I had known about it sooner but I will still be able to use the "calling in your references" part. I am still going through it all(It has many pages). Anyways, here is the link for those in process or soon to be: CDN Gun Nutz Cheers, Mark
  4. My buddy and I just grabbed a 2000 Honda 450 S Foreman. It is my first ATV. We are plannning on using it for Ice Fishing, and back lake fishing, and I thought I would use it for hunting. What should I be thinking about or planning to do to it? We wanted to grab a 2up seat. Where would be the best place to find one? Any brand preferences? I am in the GTA and down in Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge almost every weekend. I also wanted to put a winch on. Any experiences with different brands? Mounting requirements? Advice? Any additional help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Mark
  5. Thanks for everybodys input. Thanks Chris. My instructors gave me the lowdown as well. 2 to 12 weeks to get my test results back from RCMP, only so I can mail in my application...to the RCMP. 28 days to 3 months to get my license back. Thats why I had sort of resigned myself to fall. I was under the impression that Lebaron had the exclusive on the three-barrel combo. Let us know how you like it. What range will you shoot it at? Cheers, Mark
  6. Great news! I look forward to more clarity. The harbour license is an annual expense. Cheers, Mark
  7. I also just completed my Firearm safeties, just waiting to mail in my application (restricted and non). I have also had my eye on the 870 combo from Lebaron's. Where would one find a used 870 for sale? I was hoping to be ready to hunt this fall. Or if I can find a loaner, turkey this spring. Scratch that last part. I guess I will have to wait until my license comes in Cheers, Mark
  8. Stumbled across this job posting: OOD Job Posting Anyone know what happened to John Kerr? Cheers, Mark
  9. I am sure the police were just "following orders" but this is a complete waste of their time. How about heading over to the Humber and nabbing more snaggers( that is still within TPA boundries) In fact, they should be encouraging more fishing from shore. Most shore anglers in TO have also used that spot and others nearby. I have even been approached by OP staff and allowed to park for free there (when there wasn't an event on). As Dave mentions and reminders of Ron, there should be more shore accessible fishing, not less. Cheers, Mark
  10. Hey Simon, Did you look into Lebaron's LeBaron I have found them to have the best or equal to the best price day-to-day. They also continually have No-Tax sales or purchase a membership and save 10%. They also have 15% membership sales or once a year before christmas No-Tax plus membership discount totalling 23%. Their website sucks but they have a longstanding mailorder system. Cheers, Mark
  11. I love that shop! Say it ain't so. Cheers, Mark
  12. I would also add my vote for you to use a leader. There are plenty of big and small Pike around there. You shouldn't want to take a chance at losing your lures/hooks/bobbers or worse leaving your lures/hooks in the Pike and possibly crippling or killing them. Cheers, Mark
  13. If you mean Lake St. John near Rama in Orillia, there is plenty of ice (over 13" as of last weekend). But, it has been extremely busy with "fisherman" keeping everything that bites from such a small lake. Expect neighbors. Cheers, Mark
  14. Correct me if I am wrong Dax, Those monies collected from those who take part in "Muskie Sunday" and enter before 9:00 am will be donated in whole/part to Muskies Canada. Cheers, Mark
  15. I have not seen the loons episode but, I caught another where this dolt was fishing for Pike with what looked like a dinky butterfly sized net. Many, many attempts to "net" the fish. Topped off by senseless thrashing in the boat. What a tool! Cheers, Mark
  16. If you just want the x67 ice machine... Lebaron has it at $239 for the month of December or until they sell out. Battery life could be an issue for some of the larger units. Cheers, Mark
  17. The epoxy will repair the bond stronger than the original wood(as will most woodworker's glues). If you want to reinforce the area so it won't break again just a few fibres north or south of the repair, a couple of brads or pins as mentioned would probably do the trick(although splitting might be an issue), or you could whip around the outside of the area like rodbuilders do. Spiel would know more. Cheers, Mark
  18. 19. Hey Lew, In my Lebaron catalog it is listed at $206.63. Their online catalog lists it at $185.63. (perhaps it is on sale) Lebaron Catalog Usually, you can get an extra 10% off with membership and they also normally have a tax and membership discount before christmas. Cheers, Mark
  20. Incredible piloting! That approach and landing were so smooth. Well Done Sir! Cheers, Mark Oh yah, nice moose!
  21. Nice Report! Thanks for taking the time and being so forthcoming to help us newer Musky anglers. Cheers, Mark
  22. Stellar! Thanks for taking the time. Cheers, Mark
  23. Noahs Marine has rough cut lumber including White Oak...around $5 bucks a board foot if I remember. Noahs Marine Boatbuilding Supply Cheers, Mark
  24. How would one know it had died? I'm melting... Cheers, Mark
