  1. I'm a die hard Leaf fan, but this one killed me Q. How do you keep a Toronto maple Leaf out of your yard? A. Put up a goal net
  2. My buddy DMASSE hinted me on this one after I nearly froze my toes off on our lasting outting. I was wearing 3 pears of thick socks, but it was still DAMN cold and we were standing in 1/2 a foot of snow while fishing. Check out wigwam socks (I like the "Canadian" model). These things are seriously warm. The only issue is that they are so warm that you will sweat in them, meaning it's good practice to wear a base layer (NOT COTTON) underneath to whisk away any moisture to an insulated layer. Did I mention they are great for ice fishing? Bass Pro and Gagnons carry them (probably many other stores too).
  3. Why anyone would argue against winter tires is beyond me. Proven way to save lives > A thousand bucks. What kills me (pardon my expression) is the guys that claim that winter tires too expensive, yet they probably spend thousands each year on recreation (fishing and hunting), or worse, a big screen tv. Happy driving.
  4. I can only dream of getting this in my classroom! There doesn't seem to be any cooperative stocking program with any GTA school boards. Every time I watch the salmon migrate upstream, I think "Wow what a perfect example of life cycle's curriculum". Keep up the great work
  5. Haha good point, they play like a bunch of Europeans anyway... dive much?
  6. LOL please give a team to Hamilton... That's our second team. There's a reason that Toronto produces more hockey superstars than any other city on the planet.
  7. This is one hell of a tease... nice eyes
  8. CONGRATS ON THE WIN!! Touch a hair on his body and I personally guarantee your stride won't feel the same Just kidding After tonights win us Leaf Fans have to protect our assets
  9. People used to go to Buffalo for specific stores that were not available in Canada (like Victoria Secret, Abercrombie ect..). Now-a-days, there are very few companies that haven't expanded into Canada, and very few hot items that are only available in the states. Now that Yorkdale makes the Galleria look like a dollar store, the only reason to go is to save a couple bucks on purchases (after factoring in a favourable exchange rate). Like you said, after you consider gas and the other costs, you would have a hard time saving more by shopping over the border than by staying local (assuming we are talking about the GTA here.
  10. I agree, Toronto is extremely lucky geographically. Pretty much everyone else in every direction gets more snow, and Torontarians are serial complainers.
  11. I dunno, maybe the license plate was a dead give-a-way
  12. I parked next to your car in the parking lot
  13. Round them parts the fax machine is worth as much as the beer. Word is the internet is coming through in '15
  14. Latest repots say you may nee an auger for some parts. Good luck and be safe
  15. Carp are like hyphens: way too abundant in the average post
  16. I like the big wave-like swooping overhead casts with bright, recognizable fly line colours like orange. If
  17. I was being sarcastic... This is why my cottage is off the grid.
  18. Instead of adding 14 arbitrary questions, why don't they enforce mandatory swimming lessons for all boaters?
  19. At least Ontario taxpayers will save millions in the future from prevented health care costs
  20. I think your caps lock key is broken.
  21. Mike, I'm sure you know this already, but nothing is more therapteutic than a healthy dose of chrome. Anytime you are willing, I am ready to get schooled by you. When ice hits, it might be a different story. My girlfriend and I (who I routinely share my OFC life with) are extremely happy to hear your positive results. Maybe when the ice gets safer I can do some of the schooling . Take care bud
  22. I am thoroughly disappointed. Now all I can think about is decorating the tree with bacon. Why didn't anyone think of this sooner?
  23. I've had a family member with this and (like you) they were in great shape. I hope you feel better soon dude!
  24. Took advantage of static IP's to vote more than once Good luck!
  25. Nice fish! Glad to see me and Dmasse aren't the only ones braving the cold weather. Hope to see you guys on the banks, and it's heartwarming to see more big smiles on the face of MJL
