  1. i almost like hardwater fishing then softwater fishing. i find ice fishing soo much more of a challenge and thrill but nothing beats the feel and thrill of going out on the boat on a warm sunny day and hooking into some nice fish.
  2. i wear a motocross open face helmet! you buy decent goggles so theres no fogging at all and theres the piece that fits in the helmet to protect from the wind. and on the real cold days throw on a balacavla

  16. well that definitely sucks! hope you get better soon! god gave you 2 arms! you can always jig and possibly reel, just get a good buddy to do the manual labour! what im trying to say if theres a will theres a way
  17. im going nowhere special. probably gonna stay "local". theres countless lakes in my area and i always have a never ending list of lakes to try.
  18. when still fishing for pike i use a large stick. i tie an elastic to my line and i put it on the stick, i then leave line 10-20feet on the ice. when the pike starts pulling on the line the elastic drops off the stick and the pike can run with it. if you dont get it and want a better explaination, pm me i'll make up pics to.
  19. i've caught most of my lakers on back lakes just using a flasher slip shot to medium dace in 10-20feet of water. i also do quite well jigging williams wablers(colour doesnt matter as long as theres silver on it i find) i switch the size up for the lake im at and the size of fish i target and how aggressive they are. i will also jig at different depths from 3ft under the ice to right on bottom. i've also used large sucker minnows going for big hogs. i've played around a bit with white tubes, ive caught a few but nothing of any real success and i've got them putting it right on bottom giving it quick jerks taking it 6" up. i've also tipped the white tube with a full dace with the head of the minnow on the hook. good luck out there.
  20. ive caught pike on just about everything going. ive caught them jigging a plain spoon, live bait(dace and large suckers), jighead with a minnow, tube jigs, etc etc. i find its all on how aggressive they are. i'd set a still line(tip up) with live bait and try various spoons and jigs and vary speeds and jigging patterns tillyou start laying into them. it might take some trial and error.
