pike slayer

ok so the past month or so my stomach has been screwy. every couple days ive been having diaherra and a loss of appetite, it goes away after a day or so then comes back. my stomach has not been really bothering me like no pain or anything and i dont feel sick and i havent been feeling tired well not more then normal after a days work. just over a month or so ago i weighted 160 and im down to 145lb!! thats 15lb in a month! that cant be good! the weird thing is my diet has changed a bit in the past month, ive been drinking more beer, eating fast food almost daily for lunch and i've pretty much started smoking which i never thought i'd do in my life time(it started with victory cigars fishing and after so many victories i got addicted) . the only thing i can think of is my body isnt liking the change and this is its way of rebelling. on the plus side and now i look great, no more beer gut and there has been alot more women that seem to be noticing me then before and my sex life has increased! does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? ohh and im 22 if age has something to do with it! or does anyone know of websites where i can post something like this and get answers from knowledgable ppl like an online doctor?? thanks

geeez! i should be going to school!! im working at the old holidday inn (waterfront inn) 9th floor today and all i do is look out and stare at the river hahaha!!

the size of the tire would also have an affect! if they are a larger wider tire then they will "float" on the snow.

i'll be sure to bring my shotgun everytime im in the bush cause you never know, nature and animals can be very unpredictable.

i heard this on the radio today. i dont know if its true or not but i heard theres one been one person ever killed in canada by a wolf. Dont they normally go for a "weak" person like a small child for an easy kill? they aren't known for going after a healthy adult.

cork for me! reason? no real reason. you dont see to many high end rods with foam, only cheapos. doesnt foam soak up water? i cant say ive never owned a rod with foam.

Unlike most of you i wasnt born into fishing. My buddy nate was like you guys born into fishing and always went with his father and grandfather. One friday night my buddy nate calls me and asks me if i want to go ice fishing. hes like we'll go out by searchmont and we'll go across a couple lakes and through the bush and i was jacked to go cause i just bought my first snowmobile and thats all i was thinking about, riding untouched powder and flying across a lake. Well i did exactly that and we stopped, set up lines and we hung out and we caught alot of fish. we caught probably 20lakers. he gave me my 2 holes and he had his. it was such a thrill running and pulling up fish. it turned into a competition and we had a blast! That summer Nate called me about fishing again saying that his dad and him had plan a fishing trip but his dad got called into work and wasnt gonna be able to go. Seeing is how we had such a great time ice fishing i really wanted to go out summer fishing. That evening we ran over to crappy tire, i bought a $30 rod/reel a couple lures and we were set. We camped out for 2 days at a lake had lots of beers and laughs and he showed me the ropes and we caught a pile of walleye and bass. After that trip i was offically hooked to fishing. After that just about every weekend my buddy nate and i went out. I started researching different techniques, lures, places, etc. and i was into fishing more then my buddy nate. but my buddy always had an open mind and full of adventure. We tried sooo many new lakes, tried every lure in the book and we were really honing in our skills. I have slowly become nates guide haha!! i truely thank him for showing me the first few set of ropes!

irishfield, about those electrical boxes, why dont they have a type of glue or stickyness to the outter foam, they dont get a true seal as is, atleast they werent a good seal on the ones in the house i insulated, vapour barriered and drywalled.

ya even on hard packed trails my sled will over heat after about 20km, i just got a set of ice scratchers for it and will see if that fixes things. i dont ride to many trails with the rmk, most of my lake running has powder on them. definitely wont be running simcoe haha!! keep the sleds coming, i didnt think this thread would do this well! awesome guys!

So today my buddy and i headed up by aubery falls for some fall pike action. We headed out at 7am and it was a 2hour drive up from the sault. We drove a couple different bush roads for partridge and never seen a single bird! We only seen one on the ranger and well thats to much of a highway to stop and blast him. We went up into my favorite pike lake. The bite was extremely slow today and were hitting light. We got only 10 pike which is sad for this lake where i normally get 40-60 in a day. The largest shown was 10lbs 35.5inches. My buddy got it on a matzuo deep diver haha it was funny cause i always bash the matzuos and it caught the fish of the day. We set my minn kota to number 1 and put on deep divers and just slowly dragged bottom. usually you work x-raps and other crank baits as hard as you can and they just normally smash them. I might get out once more but the pike are shutting right down. bring on the ice!!!

So trout is closed right now due to them spawning. Splake is open year round. Would it be a good time of the year to target splake? dont they act like they are in spawn mode? also what depths would they be around?? they wouldnt be slowing down right now like pike, bass, walleye or would they with the lower water temps? some help would be great! thanks

just bescause you suck and you don't know what your doing doesnt mean everyone else is doing it wrong!!! hahaha with more ppl like that around the better fishing is to be had by all!
