to each his own, but....... i'll be danged if i apologize for something that is done perfectly legal. im not so sure that we in the u.s. are not headed back towards the depression days. some of these anti's may jump ship when there is no more tofu left at the grocery and there family is starving. now im not saying rub it in everyones face, but i dont think me taking a whitetail legal and humanely is something to be ashamed of either. will i go all over town to show it off no, but i will check it as required by law and will use every bit of it for table fare or jerky. my children love eating venison as do i. if i get a monster buck so be it, if i kill a small buck or doe, rest assured it will be used completely. how many of you always clean your plate at dinner. that is the way i was brought up, eat as much as you want, but dont waste. I just dont think covering your kill should be a priority, as a hunter you have payed well to the govt in tags etc.... to harvest an animal. how much dignity is there in covering a big bull like you have done something wrong. i say show it off and people should respect the animal that is going to help feed a family or two this winter. i agree that by hiding it you are somewhat admitting that you have done something wrong. all of our fore fathers survived this way and will continue to do so for eternity. the world is in trouble when people are to feel ashamed for doing what is right and legal. jason

our season started last saturday, i have passed all week on several does, and a 6 pt but come this weekend something is going to die. we can take up to 6 deer this year and i plan on limiting out with the price of food. i also am going to try to let my stepson take his first deer. he will be seven in few weeks and is pretty good with a crossbow within 25 yards. good luck to all and post some pics. jason

dont change at the border, they will rip you off, in august, it was less for american. i would recomend the credit card way or atm, even some of the banks charge a fee, which makes it even money. on xm converter it is always higher than what they will give. jason

try goldeneaglecamp.com near elk lake. if you have any questions, i will be glad to help. jason

i too would suggest going to an archery shop, they usually have good used ones there, and you can try them out. the main thing in my opinion is to get it fitted to your exact measurements. it can make a big difference in your accuracy and comfort. jason

i came along the site while trying to get information and the one up on the rest of my fishing buddies that go with me on our annual trip. i soon realized that this place not only had a great wealth of knowledge, but was so down to earth and has so many people from so many walks of life. it truly is like an extended family. jason

by far the darkest day in american history, although the attack on pearl harbor was terrible, the instant news coverage and the fact that these poor people were civillians makes this the most disgusting act ever. i was teaching a class of 8th graders when we first heard the news, our entire school was so quiet with everyone glued to the tv. classes didnt change, we all just sat there stunned. i am currently watching a show on the history channel that is titled 102 minutes that changed america. it is all raw video from that morning. may God please look after the families of all the victims and may their souls rest in peace. jason

i say go with the education. the older you get, the harder it is to go back to school. with a solid education you will be able to pick and choose your jobs alot more easily. like tg said a good job may make it able for you take these trips for yourself and let some other young buck pack your game out of the bush when you get older. jason

TG, glad to hear your daughter is back and safe. your right about her man, those workers will need people like him to help keep them going during what looks to be another major hit. my hats off to him and the rest of the health workers that will have to stay. best wishes, jason

its hard for me as an american to feel much pity for the idiots that stayed in new orleans during katrina, for gods sake there were free buses running empty out of the city. if they told me everything i owned was going to be leveled by saturday i would have gotten my family the hell out of there. if you dont own a car or have the money- ol well i can walk a hell of a distance in 2 days. it was much easier for them to blame the govt. than there own stupidity and laziness. i dont blame them a bit for buying guns, and would have no problem protecting my property if i was in the same situation. the only difference is i wouldnt have cared cause i would have been smart enough to got out of there in the first place. just my 2 cents jason
