  1. Criminal offences are those listed in the CCOC, a federal body of laws, and quite extensive. Try reading it some time Almost all fishery regulations are provincial. There are also some federal regulations that a CO will enforce, but I don't recall any that are includrd in the Criminal Code.
  2. West Arm can be great in the early season
  3. Isn't it great spending time watching the boy grow. Especially with the beautiful surroundings of nature's playground. As for the dog, he's not halfway to full grown. There are a couple of chocolates in the neighbourhood that weigh in over 120lbs. The one at the farm, Remington, is so happy to see me he has bowled me over a few times.
  4. GO ahead, make me drool
  5. Will there be anything left but carp in the Great Lakes by then? At that point why bother spending millions or billions to cure a corpse?
  6. The best interests of the almighty dollar win again. 2015 before the army finishes studying the problem, a few years of discussion and 2-3 years before Congress comes up with the money. A 20 year window for providing a workable solution is a joke!
  7. Well done, Simon. It's amazing how much a fish will gorge itself when on the feed.
  8. Standard textbook can be ordered through any college book store.
  9. More hours of fishing with my wife this year. Hopefully the health will oblige.
  10. Don't worry Emil. My son has a habit of going through the ice every year. This year he finally broke the curse. So there is hope THose are some nice fish.
  11. So true for anything made in the past 20 years. Lighter and smaller parts are far more fragile. Older reels like the Mitchell300's, Luxor's, Abu's still lasted forever despite abuse. Many in use 40-60 years later and performing flawlessly. That stuff could take punishment. Anything post 1990 cannot.
  12. Boy does that look delish.... Makes me want to lick the screen
  13. I think the weather kept some people away today. All I know is that it was a fun day for a good cause. Met good folks and went home happy.
  14. You just know the little one would never let you live it down . Nor would the crowd Wifey also had a good time, and she did not follow the family habit of going through the ice (it's a genetic thing ) It sure was frosty out there, with near to no visibility at times. Judy was afraid we'd get lost. So she never moved more than 2 feet from the hut to stretch her legs. I was nice and toasty, but Judy was a bit chilled, not enough layers It was nice to see some favourite faces, and Judy now has her own fishing rod. Oh Yeah. It was a tough bite for many. We only managed 20 perch in 4 hours. Jose and the munchkin did worse, but they were having fun watching movies and eating pizza.

YOU, Mr have a month to wait yet
  16. Such a great band to see live back then
  17. Be there in a little while?
  18. My wife might be heading down that way I'll ask when she gets in.
  19. Lotsa open water in Niagara, and the fish are confused
  20. Wonderful good news. I am so happy for you. I still remember everything about the moment each of my children was born. I wish a long life of love and happiness for your family.
  21. Sounds like the wife is landing a big one
  22. Just gotta have a mixed bag of tricks with different things to do while waiting out the fish.
  23. Looking forward to seeing friends and having a great time.
  24. My president lasted almost 5 years before scrapping this winter. For the dollar paid the reel was exceptional as I was using it primarily as my cat and carp reel. Certainly did better than a number of Stradics I have seen.
  25. Great report. A couple of successful outings. Time with family, and at the end, the best news in the world. Five words that make most men feel they're on top of the world; "I'm gonna be a DAD"
