  1. I did enjoy. Great shots!
  2. So, for a 5% discount, the insurance company gets an avenue to possibly deny a claim when you really need them? Screw that. If they offer something, it's because it's to their benefit.
  3. I think it's possible, but it's gonna take some work, to get Stella to become a fishing nut. It doesn't matter, great bonding time out there, a few fish is a bonus. Cool report Mike!
  4. I remember watching him for years when I was up north on CKVR, along with Leave it to Beaver reruns, years ago. "If you have to work this weekend, I hope you make a pot full of money" Sad news, seemed like a positive guy.
  5. You're out and I'm jealous. My wife and I plan on getting out when we retire. The GTA sucks but it's our jobs that are the golden handcuffs. Good move man, exciting times.
  6. Yeah, laughs are great. He got called slow in the head, ignorant and a troll. That's not cool, it's rude.
  7. There's no reason why casting won't work, but with trolling you can cover more water with your bait in the strike zone
  8. The guy's new and asked an honest question. There was a similar question about the Pine, why didn't Netminder get reamed? I welcome some new blood around here.
  9. Likely nobody has legally had that many Auroras in their possession before. Cool story.
  10. That looks like a giant! Good on you for letting the big spawner go too.
  11. Yeah Joey, 140 guys and that was the only fish over the slot. The 2 previous years there was no fish entered over the slot. It would have been even better if my young nephew fishing with us had caught it.
  12. So Joey put on a clinic out there eh. Sounds like a perfect day to me, nice going guys!
  13. Water off a duck's back Ricky, I'm not religious, but there's a country song, "god is great, beer is good, and people are crazy"
  14. Thanks Bravo Buddie Bunk! Imagine the damage we could have done if we had Bunk and Sinker (Shane) on the team too. Total domination!
  15. Glad to hear that Chris. Imagine the damage we could have done if Bain and Julian had made it out too. For the record, I was 1 for 2, Brown and Kewley especially were putting numbers of fish on the ice.
  16. Nice Bri! Yeah, it looks like it's going to warm up and do some melting next week. Get out there while you can.
  17. I bought a Helix 5. I don't find DI useful at all and SI isn't what I was hoping for. I wouldn't bother with them. JMO.
  18. Brown beat me up to the cottage. That was ok because he warmed the place up and shovelled all the snow before we got there. We decided not to pre fish, but sledded into a walleye lake. The derby is a huge deal for the guys that fish up there.I knew I had to call up the heavy hitters for my team, Kewley, Brown and Colin. The derby was from 8 to 3pm. A little after 9am I put a 6 pound 10 ouncer on the ice and it wouldn't be beat.Put it in a rubber maid with water, ran it in, weighed it in, then let it go.Kewley and Brown were running their own fish in too.140 guys but I was lucky enough to come out on top, fun, memorable day, Lil Fisher is happy too.Our cottage friends had something terrible happen to their family recently, so that's where the prize money went.
  19. Hey Gallie, while you're on here, is that you and a buddy in a picture with a good muskie at the Minden CT?
  20. It looks like some bruising too because the guy squeezed the hell out of it. I've never found the need to use a glove on any species. Cheesy video, bad science, but a good message.
  21. I would always have 1 set line with a small split shot and minnow just below the ice, then play around with your other line and electronics. Be careful, it's easy for a tip up or rod to get pulled down the hole with only 3 feet of line out, done that before.
  22. So what's that crazy insane number canuck? You said it, so you should have already done the math. Some of you guys seem so passionate about this stuff, why are you whining about it on a fishing forum and not actually trying to do something?
  23. I would buy a Lowe. Even with that V front, it's still going to ride like a Jon boat.
  24. Like the other recent boat questions, it seems you already know your answer. If ride quality and stability are the most important factors, get a heavy fiberglass boat.
  25. It's measured from trough to crest. 1m is about 3 feet.
