Probably would need a U.S. license, but not required. Most of the best drifts are in U.S waters.
As stated here, a 3 way rig with 1 oz. pencil lead, 6# flouro leaders with shiners, roe bags, beads and even quick fish

An interesting read and a site that we should all pay a bit of attention to.
Many of my staff that work in or around water have the training.
Who wants a 12lb bass when a 3lb ladyfish out fights it, lol.
I do !
Its the same thing when you guys drive all over Ontario and the U.S. to chase steelhead when you can catch bigger fish in the east tribs
( or as you say "ditches " )
My condolences Mike. He has left you with a special gift that many will never get from their grandparents
My he always be with you on your fishing trips. When the fishing gets tough, ask yourself " what would Grandpa do ? "
Nice pike Cliff !
Im glad that you clarified the length and weight of the pike. Most people tend to think that a pike of that length is well over 20 pounds. 16 pounds seems pretty accurate to me
Well done boys !
I have had many run ins with Yacht club employees/members telling me that I cant fish in " their marina "
I politely tell them that I have every right to fish there and carry on with what I am doing.
Once I had a guy ( who I have had run ins with before )screaming at me and we just acted like we didn't even see or hear him and just kept fishing. He was only ten feet away and his blood was boiling. pretty funny.
I also have no problem telling people to take a hike either. Although I have never had to do this, I am prepared.
My neighbor is the chief of the T.O. marine unit and I got confirmation from him that they cant kick you out. ( access from a boat )
